A few weeks had passed, Benito was still in LA and spent most of his time in the studio again. He had posted a picture of the kiss that we had shared at José's concert. Mi sol, mi vida, mi corazón, mi amor. That was what he had captioned it with. Cia said that his post meant that he was now completely committed to me, but I knew he was even if he hadn't made it public that he was in a relationship. The media had taken it quite well and most of his fans were happy for him - that's at least what he had told me. I was on my way home from work, when my phone started ringing. "Hi, Mom!" I answered it, smiling. "Hi, sweetheart! How are you?" my mother greeted me. It was nice to hear her voice. "I'm good! What about you and Dad?" I replied happily. "We're good! A little stressed out because of your sister's wedding." she answered, sounding like she was yawning. Shit! I had totally forgotten about Theresa's wedding. "By the way, you haven't told us if you bring someone yet. She did calculate a plus one though." she continued, when I didn't reply. Oh, shoot! "Yeah, about that. Benito and I are back together and I would like him to meet you guys." I told her honestly. My parents had known about him and they had also asked about him more than once. They were actually dying to meet him, but then we had broken up and they never had had the chance to. "Honey, that's wonderful! So we finally get to meet him?" she said excited. "If it's okay for Tess that I bring him." I said, looking out of the window of the bus. "She would've called you herself, but she's picking up her dress today and got an appointment with the planner." Mom explained to me. It was clear to me that only my sister could've had the idea to make me bring someone. "Alright, I'll tell Benito about it as soon as I'm home!" I told her, fumbling around with the zipper of my bag. "Great! Honey, I gotta go! We'll see each other next weekend!" my mother said slowly. "Okay, talk to you later. Love you and greet Dad and Tess from me." I replied before hanging up.

I was doing my make up in the little hotel room I shared with Benito. Theresa was getting married in our hometown about three hours away from LA. "Mi amor, could you hand me my necklace?" I heard Benito ask from the bedroom. I put down my brow pencil, grabbed the necklace from the little cupboard in the bathroom and opened the door. Since I didn't want him to see me in the dress before I was done, I sticked my arm out and waited for him to grab it. With a chuckle he took it, but didn't say anything. Sighing, I went back to the mirror to finish my look. I had already curled my hair and put it into a high ponytail. Only the brows and lips were still missing, so it didn't take me long to be done. Finally, I took the heels I had bought for this occasion with the help of Cia. My feet were hurting, only by looking at them, but my was only going to get married once and I wanted to look like the other bridesmaids. I checked myself one last time in the mirror, before I opened the door to the bathroom. Benito was sitting on the bed, waiting for me to be ready. He was wearing a black suit, just like my sister had asked for in the invitation she had sent me about six months prior - not gonna lie, it made him look even more handsome than he already was. The sound that the heels made on the floor made him look up from his phone. He stared at me with his mouth slightly opened. "What?" I asked, walking up to him. "Te ves absolutamente impresionante." he said, grabbing my hand. "Thanks." I replied, smiling at him. "Are you ready?" he then wanted to know, getting up from the bed.

Benito squeezed my hand as we walked out of the church. The ceremony had been beautiful and I was happy for my sister. It was time for Benito to meet my family. My parents were standing with my sister and her now husband, Eric. I could tell that my boyfriend was extremely nervous by the way he was holding onto my hand. "Mom, Dad?" I asked as I walked up to them. "Casey!" my mother squealed, when she turned around. She pulled me into a big hug which caused me to let go of Benito's hand. "My little angel!" my father then said, before kissing me on the cheek. Tess was the last one to hug me. "I have never seen you in a dress, let alone in heels. Look at you!" she complimented me, spinning me around. "Congratulations to you and Eric." I then said, smiling at her. "Thank you, little bean! Who's the handsome man you brought?" Tess asked, when she noticed Benito behind me. "This is Benito, my boyfriend." I introduced him to my family.  "I'm Thomas, this is Dorothy and this is Theresa." Dad told him, when he shook his hand. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Andrews!" Benito politely replied. "Oh, please, call me Tom! We're all part of the same family, right?" my dad then said, looking at all of us. We chatted a little bit until we were supposed to go to the restaurant the buffet was served at. Tess and Eric went back to their hotel - my sister wanted to change - , while the rest of us walked to the restaurant. It wasn't far away from the church, literally right across the street. At our table, my parents immediately engaged Benito in a conversation. I had told them a little about him, such things as what he was doing for a living and where he came from, but that had been about it. "So, Casey mentioned that you're a musician?" my mother asked carefully. "Yes, I'm a rapper." Benito answered, after taking a sip from the glass of water in front of him. "And you can live from that?" she questioned. Nodding, my boyfriend answered her question. "That's interesting! I imagine you travel a lot then?" Mom wanted to know. "Oh, I haven't for the last 13 months, but usually yes." my boyfriend honestly answered. "Why not?" Dad intervened curiously. "Uh, I needed a break from that life, when Casey and I had broken up." Benito slowly said. You could see that he started to feel uncomfortable. "Well, we're glad you sorted everything out." Dad then replied, smiling at him. When Tess and Eric arrived, my sister and my brother-in-law also started interviewing him, but I had the feeling that they liked him and I was happy about that.
