When the submarine docked at Briny Beach it was dark out as it was 9:30 pm. The orphans sat on the beach in silence as they thought about the events that had recently occurred.
"Goodbye Baudelaire's, goodbye Quagmire's." Fiona said waving goodbye from her sub. The vessel went under the water.
"I can't believe she's gone." Klaus sighed.
"Who? Fiona? I thought you didn't like her." Isadora asked.
"No my sister." Klaus fell back into the sand looking up at the night sky.
There was a distant coughing sound.
"Is that Mr. Poe?" Duncan asked.
"No that sounds like someone coughing up something." Klaus corrected.
"They're probably coughing up water." Isadora guessed.
"We should go check on them." Quigley said standing up. They all followed. They made it behind the big boulders when they saw a girl sopping wet laying on the sand facing the stars.
"Hello?" Isadora called out. The girl coughed up more water. They realized she wasn't just coughing up water she was also coughing up blood. Her leg seemed to be bleeding, she seemed badly bruised, and barely breathing. The girls head turned toward them, her eyes were closed but that didn't mean a thing when they saw her face.
"Violet!" They all yelled rushing to her side.
"We need to get the water out of her system!" Isadora screamed.
"CPR!" Quigley yelled. Duncan immediately got to work he quickly started pressing down on her chest in quick compressions.
"Move out of the way you idiot I got this!" Isadora shoved Duncan out of the way. She started doing compressions but nothing was working and they were running out of time. Sunny started jumping on Violets chest. She started to cough and spit out water. They sat her up as Sunny continued to push on her chest.
"Violet! Come on Violet stay with us!" Klaus yelled checking her pulse. Violet coughed one last time and all fell silent. They waited patiently for any sign of Violet being alive.
"Duncan do something." Isadora urged.
"Me? What am I supposed to do?!" Duncan asked confused.
"Kiss her." Klaus said.
"You want me to kiss your sister?" Duncan asked shocked.
"If it would save her I would let you kiss her any day." Klaus said. Isadora squealed as Duncan nodded. He leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers. He pulled away and Violets eyes shot open.
"Violet!" Duncan said hugging her.
"Why'd you stop?" Violet asked.
"Thank god your alive." Klaus hugged his sister and so did Sunny. They all laughed and hugged.
"What happened?" Isadora asked.
"If I knew I would tell you." Violets smile faded. "I am still bleeding and need bandages." Violet told everyone.
"Oh here take my jacket." Isadora wrapped her jacket around Violets wound.
"We should go." Violet suggested.
"Not so fast." A voice said from behind them.
"Oh hell no! We have enough problems right now asshole." Isadora snapped.
"My name is Count Olaf not asshole." Count Olaf laughed.
"Are you sure?" Duncan asked signaling for them to move Violet away.
"Well Umm." Count Olaf began. He then saw Violet being dragged across the beach. "Hey get back here with my fortune!" Esme grabbed Count Olaf's arm. "Esme? When did you get here?" Olaf asked surprised.
"I got bored waiting for my scene so I came to visit. That's not important right now though I have some juicy gossip that could help you get the fortune." Esme smiled. So Count Olaf let the orphans escape the beach.
"Now tell me this gossip." Count Olaf demanded.
"Well I found out the Duncan and Violet are dating so we can use that against them. Since they are all siblings and friends we can use that against them and Klaus and Isadora like each other." Esme told him proudly.
"Where did you find all this information?" Count Olaf asked.
"I have eyes....everywhere." Esme grinned.
"From Emmy and Fiona right?"
"Umm yeah."
"Well let's get to work." Count Olaf said.
"Emmy knows a guy that will help us all get what we want. Emmy will get Duncan we will get the fortunes and the guy will get a special orphan girl." Esme and Count Olaf laughed evilly.
