Antoinette, Isadora, Duncan, Klaus, and Sunny began their drive down the mountain after Violet had thrown and ice block at Count Olaf as a distraction. The others could only hope Violet and Quigley would make it down the mountain safe. They would check with the spy glass as soo as they arrived at the bottom.
Violet and Quigley began their climb down the mountain. Eventually they stopped at the ledge that Isadora and Violet had stopped at earlier that day. Violet looked out into the setting sun commenting about how beautiful it was. Quigley agreed but he was clearly looking at her when he said it.
The group in the car arrived to the base remarkably fast and Antoinette got to work looking through the spyglass. When she saw what she saw she dropped the spyglass.
"What's wrong?" Klaus asked trotting over after hearing something hit the floor.
"Violet Quigley kissing." Antoinette rushed out. Immediately Klaus picked up the spyglass and looked through it only to see the same thing. Gasping he handed it to Isadora who at first was exited before remembering it was Quigley not Duncan.
Then the spyglass got to Duncan. "How could he do this?!" Duncan yelled furiously pacing back and forth. "He knows I love her!!!"
"You love her?" Isadora asked quietly.
Duncan turned to Isadora. He looked her in the eye but didn't say a word. That was enough for her to understand.
"Maybe she thought it was you Duncan." Klaus suggested.
"Oh yeah because Violet would forget who she asked to climb down the mountain with!" Antoinette said with sarcasm.
"How about instead of making this worse you try to help find a reason why the hell she would do this?" Isadora snapped at her.
"I know why she did it. 'Cause she's a greedy little whore!" Annie yelled.
"DONT SPEAK ABOUT VIOLET THAT WAY!" Duncan shouted in a tone Isadora had never heard him speak in before it scared her and made Annie jump.
"Lets all calm down." Klaus tried to reason.
"No!"
"Annie."
"This is so dumb!!"
"Annie."
"She's such a little-"
"ANNIE WAKE UP!!!"
Antoinette jumped awake. "What where am I?"
"You fell asleep like an hour in to the drive down the mountain. I wanted to wake you up because we're almost at the bottom." Isadora laughed.
"So that was all a dream...?" Annie asked more to herself than anyone else.
"What was a dream?" Duncan asked.
"Oh nothing."
They arrived back at the burned down headquarters and Antoinette quickly pulled out her spyglass.
"Where are they?" Annie asked angrily searching up and down the mountain.
"We're right here." Violet said stepping next to Annie.
"Oh! How did you guys beat us here?" Antoinette asked.
"We ended up using two wood planks as sleds and slid down." Quigley answered. Antoinette immediately turned to look at him. He looked the same as always. She let her gaze slide down to his lips. Not puffy. She thought. Thank god that was just a dream.
Antoinette in a split second decision ran up and hugged Quigley. "I'm glad you're all right." She sighed into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her.
"Yeah better than ever."
