Time flew really fast. It's been 2 weeks now. I've seen the city and visited a few parks. Took some pics here and there and tried every new food that I haven't seen before. And yes, I did all of them mostly with Luke. Well, he offered himself and who am I to say no to that kind of offer? Moreover, if the one that offered it was a cute guy with messy hair and eyes bluer than the ocean.
I just have 2 weeks left here before I go back to Indonesia.
(Guys, I know that Ash is Aussie, but because I'm Indonesian I'll put him as Indonesian too. Same like as I put Luke as British boy when in fact he is an Aussie boy)
I told him about this, and he seems a little off for the next few seconds. But he just jumped out of the couch and grabbed my hand and pulling me around to a new part of the city. We did most of our things walking because he said we'll get more fun 'because we can reach the place that we can't reach by vehicle.
And I can't say I didn't agree on that one. He's far from awkward and shy if you finally get to know the real him. He's just this crazy and annoying little boy who really loves to disturb you but he also this sweet and caring and lovely boy on the other side.
He led us to this really tall building and we reach the rooftop. Just sitting there and swinging our legs at the edge. We didn't talk, just enjoying the view and soft wind.
"We can get some food if you want, my dad is inside, and I can just ask him or maybe his assistant."
"What do you mean he is inside?"
"He's um, the CEO of this company."
"Fucking hell Luke, you should have told me earlier so I won't look like shits during that dinner. OMG, I killed my reputation in front of a fucking CEO." I panicked and he just laughed his ass off.
"You know what, Ash? You looked all fine, and Nah you didn't kill your reputation, He just a CEO you know, not the owner."
"But still Luke, it's so embracing."
"Nah, it's all good. If you meet my grandpa, he'll be much more far from your expectation."
"What do you mean?"
"C' mon!" He said then led me into the building. Was he trying to say his grandpa is the owner? OMG, I'm just wearing a band-tee and ripped skinnies.
"Mr. Hemmings pleasure to see you here." A lady said to him.
"Can I meet the Hemmings Senior right now?"
"Sure, he's in his room with your dad last time I checked."
"Thanks, Mrs. White."
He led us to this fancy looking hall and knocked three times on the door. Someone said 'come in' and he did as told.
"Grandpa, Look who I have over here!" He shouted and jumped on his dad's lap. I stood there mouthed hung open as I see two grown up man playing a monopoly game and drink a cup of (I guess) coffee.
"Take a seated boy. And close your mouth." His grandpa said. I walked toward the empty seat and look around in astonishment. This room has this big ass window that facing the whole city and wow, it's so amazing.
"Wanna join the game while introducing you?" His grandpa asked as Luke giggling in his dad's chest.
"Su... Sure." I said nervously.
"I.. um I'm Ashton. Ashton Irwin, Luke's new friend."
"Best friend." He said correcting me.
"Yeah, best friend."
"That Ashton boy who Luke can't stop talking about right?"
"I don't know but maybe?" I said looking at Luke for an answer but he just hid his face in his dad's chest.
"My little boy got a new best friend and didn't tell the oldest Hemmings?"
"Sorry grandpa, forget to do so." He said giggling again.
"Don't do that again okay? You have to keep me on up-date about your life, young boy!" His grandpa said and ruffling his hair.
"Let's just continue the game shall we?" His dad said and we all nodded in unison. I and Luke joining them and it feels like we were playing with guys from our age. Not two grown-up man who was a CEO and an owner of a successful company. It feels great like really.
