THE SUMMER [CHAP.21]

I drove my car while Jordan drove the SUV to the penthouse. We arrived at the parking lot and he made his way towards me. He threw the key and thanks to my fast reaction I catch it with no struggle.

"I think I'll just leave now. Have fun with all of them!" He said walking to the exit's way.

"WAIT!" I yelled make him stop and turn around.

"Is your friend here or something? I can drop you off first."

"Nah, I'm fine with the taxi. See ya, lil brother!"

"Okay, take care, Jo!" I yelled again before making my way to the entrance.

I already told Luke to come to the front desk and accompany me all the way upstairs. He did remember though, and now here we are in the lift doing nothing but kept glancing and each other before we burst out laughing like a mad man. He stumbled with the cards due to his laughing but he managed to open it at the end. His family was all around the room trying to find their things before starting our plan for today.

"Hey there," Ailouzha said greeting me while fastening her earrings.

"James, did you see my black stilettos?" His mum screamed from somewhere in the penthouse.

"No, did you see my hair gel?"

"Yes, it's inside the luggage, on the left side."

They continue to yell at each other asking where their things are and I just stood near the doorway confused but laughing at them.

"I hate my fams," Luke said pulling me toward the couch and turned on the TV.

"They're cool, just a little noisy when it comes to things like this, I guess?"

"Yeah, but it's annoying cause they're the one that packs their things, but it's also them that forget it."

"Old marriage couple life, shut up. You'll be like that one day." I said poking his nose making him squirmed and tickled me. I begged him to stop which he did after I scream the 'I love you's and 'I'm sorry' over and over again.

"We're all done now, c' mon love birds!" His mum said on the doorway. I got up from the couch but Luke pulled me down again and I ended up on top of him, he just laid there grinning stupidly and peck my cheeks before he get up and pulled me up with him.

We walked to the parking lot, and I showed them the SUV.

"It's cool, not too big or small, just enough for us." Dad J said.

"Listen here guys, because Ashton will be the one that drives this car, it means Luke sat beside him and the three of us will be in the backseat, okay?"

"Yes, mum." The three of them said in unison.

"Good, now c'mon" Mum El said making me holding back my giggle again.

I unlock the car before I slip into the driver seat.

"I really don't know where you guys wanna go, so I'll just show you around and we can stop at the Mall if it's already their open time, how's that sounds?"

"Sounds good," Ailouzha said.

"And I'm sure it'll feel good!" Luke chirped in and high-fiving his sister.

I start the explanation about every single thing that I know about this city and show them around. We stopped at a little cafe and bought some food for our breakfast snacks.

"I'm not sure how to say the name of that cafe, but I'm surprised because their food tasted so good although the price is so cheap," Ailouzha said munching happily in her food.

"It's just our street food, that's why the price is so low," I said.

"But it's in a cafe?"

"Yeah, they make it like that because they're already so famous here. And if they're not famous yet, they'll just make a Stan or something like that on the sidewalks."

"Cool, why I can't find things like that in London?"

"Well Ai, sidewalks made for the pedestrians, not for people selling things," Luke said rolling his eyes from the rear view mirror.

"Shut up, I'm asking Ash, not you."

"Well he was right, and those people were kinda breaking the rules and the government didn't like that, but they never offering the right place for those people to sell their things so they just break the rules. It's hard to explain actually."

"We got you, dear. I kind of understood about those things, thanks to your aunt." Mum El said giving me a reassuring smile.

"The government with their laws, they make a law, but they never see the effect it had on someone else. For example, people from that class." Dad J chirped in agreeing with his wife.

"Yeah, we should go to that mall by the way because I really love it."

"Which one that you mean?"

"That one. The one called Grand Indonesia, they have an international brand, so I like it."

"Sure, let's see what we can get." Mum El said. I parked the car and all of us walked in.

Let's just say so many pair of eyes was on me because I'm the only one that looks Indonesian here while the other four beside me are a really nice looking British people.

And let's just say that I got so many glares from girls (and some boys) around my age because Luke's arm was wrapped tightly around my waist and we both were walking while squeezing with each other.

Eh, what can I say? My boyfriend is so cuddly and he really loved to be squeezed with me, it's not like I'm complaining.
