I nervously walked out of the room that myself and Betty were sharing, and to Archie and Veronica's. I knocked on a couple times before Veronica opened the door, yawning.

Veronica:"What is it Jughead? I'm trying to go to sleep here"
Me:"I just need to speak to Archie"
Veronica:"Archie.... Why?"
Me:"Can you just get him"
Veronica:"....sure?"

She turned her back to me and shouted Archie over, he nodded and walked down the stairs and to the lounge with me.

Me:"Right... do you know how I saved up all my 'pocket money' and worked over the summer so that I could buy a million burgers one day?"
Archie:"Yeah?"
Me:"Well I spent it"
Archie:"You really dragged me out of bed to tell me that? And what did you spend it on?"
Me:"I erm.. I bought this for Betty"
Archie looked confused but I reached into my pocket and pulled out a black wooden box.
Archie:"What is that?!?"
Me:"It's not a wedding ring, clam down. But it is a promise ring. And you've known her for like ever, considering you live next to each other so I wanted to ask you if you think she'd like it"
Archie smiled as I passed him the box and he opened it.
Archie:"She'll love it Jug, really. God how much did this cost"
Me:"Nothing I wouldn't spend"
Archie:"Aww your so cute"
Me:"Shut up. And how am I suppose to give it to her... what if she doesn't like it like you think... or she hates it.... or even doesn't want it!"
Archie:"Calm down Jughead. It's Betty, she loves you and she'll love whatever you give her. I bet you could give her a leaf and she'll accept it because she knows it's the thought it counts. And you'll find a way to give it to her, just make it meaningful"
Me:"Okay... okay"
I took in a deep breath and smiled at Archie as we walked back to our rooms.
