It was now lunch, Betty got her lunch and then looked around at the cafeteria, no one was here except Reggie. He smiled at her as he ate his burger. She smiled back and went to sit with him.
Reggie:"Hey Betty what's wrong?"
Betty:"Nothing I just don't want to sit by myself and I saw you so I came and sat here"
Reggie:"Well then, how are you?"
Betty:"Good, you?"
Reggie:"Good Good. Listen I don't want to cause any trouble between you and your friends so you don't have to be nice to me"
Betty:"Your not causing any trouble, honestly. And even if you are I'm not one to judge and I don't care what people think we're friends"
Reggie:"Oh I was wondering if you would see if Valerie likes me?"
Betty:"Yeah sure, I think she does she's always talking about you. Do you have a plan?"
Reggie:"Why Yes I do, Nancy Drew"
Betty:"Okay, I am in Valerie's lesson next and I can ask her then if you want?"
Reggie:"Yeah Thanks"
Betty:"Okay, it's no problem anything for a friend"
Betty continued to sit with Reggie, giggling at his jokes and his cute plan to ask Valerie out. She was too busy giggling, that she didn't even realise that Jughead, Cheryl and Veronica were walking into the cafeteria.

Jughead couldn't keep his eyes off the laughing Betty. Although she had reassured him that they were just friends, he couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
Cheryl:"Jealousy definitely doesn't look good on you Jughead, the color of envy really messes with your complexion."
A knowing smirk played on Cheryl and Veronica's  sharp features.
Faking obliviousness did not come easily to Jughead, however he was gonna fake his jealousy for as long as humanly possible.
Jughead:"I don't know what you're talking about Cheryl, I'm just eating lunch."
He mumbled over his sandwich, holding up the other half as evidence.
Veronica started poked her salad daintily while Cheryl kept her eyes on Jughead
Veronica:"Oh of course, well you might want to tell that to Reggie Mantle I'm sure he's going to need surgery from all the holes you've been burning into his back with your glares."
She grinned, popping her salad into her mouth.
Jugheads turned his eyes back to the scene he had currently been observing. Betty was leaning against the wall, near the football players lunch table, her skirt riding up against her legs as she moved. Reggie Mantel was sat next to her, eating a burger. He was whispering something apparently funny based off of the way she giggled and nodded her head.
How was Betty supposed to breathe when Reggie was taking in all of her air? Breathing in her space like that?
Cheryl:"Just tell her you still like her already!"
Cheryl's voice broke him out of his stare down, he glanced at her irritated.
Jughead:"I have no idea what your talking about?"
Veronica and Cheryl raised their eyebrows, a sympathetic but still knowing smile on their faces.
Cheryl:"I'm just happy that she's happy, I mean after you broke up she was devastated it's nice to see her be her happy self, even if it is her new friendship with Reggie that is causing that."
Jughead thought about what Cheryl was saying, and she was right. He had caused Betty so much pain and she always forgave him. He agreed with Cheryl, he was just happy that she was happy again, even if it was due to Reggie.
Veronica:"Same here. I'm happy that my best friend is happy. I don't care who caused her to feel that way as long as she does. And who knows, Reggie Mantel night actually be a good guy"
Cheryl:"Maybe. Maybe he's changed. I mean after all Betty isn't one to judge people before she gets to know them herself. After all, Jughead your supposed to be this depressed, loner freak but when your with Betty your the complete opposite and she got to know that side of you first. I'm apparently this mean, bully but she didn't care what people thought of me and got to know the sweet, caring part of me"
Veronica:"Everyone thought that I was a spoilt, rich bitch from New York when I first joined here. But she didn't care and she became friends with me so she could know what I was really like, nothing like that"
Veronica laughed slightly, whilst he thought about what the girls were telling him. They could be right, Betty's didn't judge so why would she assume things about Reggie? Maybe he was actually a good guy after all.
Cheryl:"Like I said before, I'm happy that my cousin is happy"
Veronica:"Me too"
Jughead:"Okay me three"
Cheryl:"That's more like it!"
She slapped Jughead on the shoulder, in a friendly playful way as they all laughed and talked about random things.
