kayla's pov
After lying in my bed all day I finally got up and went to get organize for my award. After I took a bath I slipped on my tube red dress which was fitted so you saw all my curves. The dress reached like about mid thigh which made my legs look long although I am like about 5"1 in height.
After I put on my regular make up and red lipstick for a change, I slipped on my black heels which I risked my life for. Oh god! please don't let anything go wrong tonight. Ever since I reached home and thought about tonight i've been getting these very weird feelings and it is not the good ones.
When I made my way downstairs I saw that my parents were ready and yes my parents were coming with me because parents are invited to these functions except for the afterparty cause the students said that parents was.........what was the name they called them... ah partypoopers yeah that's what they said.
''oh sweety u look beautiful!'' My mom exclaimed.
''thanks mom you don't look so bad yourself ''I said and winked.
''thanks darling'' my mom said and blushed alittle. I could definitely say that I got my shyness from her.
''oh and dad I'll be taking my car because remember I'll be going to the party'' I said.
''oh yeah and sweetheart don't stay out to late anyways bye and be brave when you go up there'' he said as if he wasn't coming there.
''dad you do know that you're coming right and you can say those things there'' i said and furrowned my eyebrows.
"I know but I don't know if we'll have time cause you'll be busy talking with your friends and having fun so I wouldn't want to take away much of your time having fun'' he said and smiled softly.
''ok well thanks for being do considerate but we need to hurry up before I am late for my own award.'' I said and started walking.
'' ok let's go.'' and with that I went to my car and my parents went to theirs.
15 minutes later...
Oh! my! god! oh! my! god! oh! my! god!. If you're wandering why I am pacing back and forth saying these things well let me let you in a little secret I did not bring my glasses and I do not have my contacts.
''whats wrong kayla '' my best friends kat asked worriedly.
''Kat I forgot my glasses and I do not have my contacts'' I whispered yelled
''but you can see right'' she asked.
''yeah I can see I am not blind you know! but I am just scared that I'll trip and fall or something'' I said worriedly.
''kayla I'm sure you won't and you're not wearing a long dress so what are you gonna trip on but anyway you look smokin I am sure you'll get some numbers tonight'' she winked and i blushed alittle. Dont blame me ok! i dont know why i blush for every little thing.
''thanks for trying to lighten up the mood Kat and you also look smokin.'' I told her.

When we made it inside I had to separate from my friend because my last name is Anderson while hers is Thompson and that also means that I'll be sitting in the front row.
After all the students came Mr. Prescott, our principal started his speech which was boring as hell and then all the teachers came to say their speeched which were also boring, well I can see that this is going to be a long ceremony.
After the teachers boring speeches they started calling the names Anna Dawson, Perry Dills.................bla bla bla Reed Carter wait! what! Reed Carter I thought he never really got good grades hell, he never really came to class anyway let's see what he got the award for.
