Chapter 25

morning

- flashback -

"hey shawn?" a little girl whispered. "yes haiz?" a brown eyed boy asks. "we'll always be together right?" the girl asked. "together forever."  the young boy smiled. "promise?" the girl said to be certain. "i promise." the boy replied and took her hand to adventure down town. 

- end of flashback -

"hey wake up bed-head!" I say, chucking a pillow at Shawn's head. "10 more minutes!" he squealed. "no now!" I played along. "fine then." he sighed stumbling out of bed. "look at the calendar, Mendes." I say, smiling. Shawn hesitated, leaving a confused expression on his face, he turned around and read what it said on 29th January. 

"the day I first set my eyes on you." Shawn said, leaning in for a kiss. I nodded, giving him a peck. "together forever." Shawn says, leaving the room to brush his teeth. "together forever." I repeated. 

"today, I'll be taking my princess to her favourite restaurant." Shawn said smiling. "its my turn to treat you shawn!" I said, feeling bad. "as long as I get to take you out for a meal tonight!" he said, pouting. "fine then." I said, pouting back at my prince. 

I decided to take him to a Chinese restaurant, he loved his Chinese. The problem was that I absolutely hated Chinese, but he hadn't had Chinese in ages, so I decided to stay quite. 

"don't open your eyes!" I say, leading him towards the restaurant. "can I open them now!" he whined. "not yet." I say, chuckling. "how about now?" he asks. "one more minute!" I whisper. "now?" he asks, again. "go on then." I said, watching the excitement in his eyes. 

"no way! I haven't had Chinese for years now!" he exclaims. I smiled at him. "I hope you enjoy it." I watched his smile drop. "you don't like Chinese." he says, grimly. "its your treat!" I say, trying to argue. "I can't enjoy it if you don't." he says, sadly. 

I felt my cheeks burn up. 

"like I said, its my treat shawn." I said, angrily. "its not a treat if i'm not enjoying it Hailee Steinfeld." he raises his voice. 

Hailee Steinfeld? He only calls me by my full name if he's mad or being funny, i'm pretty sure he's not being funny at them moment. 

"I will enjoy it Shawn." I said, calmly. "if you don't, we're coming out." he said, walking in. This wasn't going to be fun. I'd got him into a bad mood.

I quickly wiped the tears away from my eyes and walked in.
