In honor of me getting 2K reads in this book (!!!!! how????), I am writing a special short celebratory oneshot requested by yayyyyy

Kevin's POV

I sit on the couch, breathing heavily. Why did I agree to this? Six people at once seems a bit much.... granted two people at once also seems overwhelming.

"Best friend, are you okay?" Arnold asks, sitting next to me. His eyes are big and full of concern.

"I'm fine, Arnold," I say, smiling a little to cheer him up. "Just nerves, I guess. But don't worry about me, bud! It's your wedding day!"

"And it's your wedding day too!" Arnold says imploringly, standing and holding a hand out to me. "Come on, James is already out there. We should go meet him."

I nod and straighten my suit jacket, taking a deep breathing and following a bouncing Arnold out the door of the small room. Trekking through the building, I take a small breath and nod to Arnold. "I'll be out in a sec."

Arnold grins and skips out to the seats, and I turn around to meet the figure looming behind me. "I didn't think you'd come."

"I was invited, wasn't I?" Elder Butt-Fucking-Naked grins and holds out a hand. "Congratulations, Elder Price."

"Call me Kevin," I say, smiling back. "Thank you."

"You're a good man," he continues. "Your fiancée is very lucky."

"It's fiancé, actually, and um." I let out an even bigger smile despite myself. "It won't be in a couple minutes."

Elder Butt-Fucking-Naked laughs and claps me on the back. "Go on out there. I can't go to the ceremony, because of everyone still hating me and whatnot, but I hope to see you soon."

"Same here," I say, grinning. "Thank you."

"Good luck," he says, and disappears.

I take a breath. That wasn't confirmation that I expected to get today. The invitation was just a hopeful shot in the dark, but now... it's almost like closure?

Except.

He didn't apologize.

I sigh.

One thing at a time.

I push open the door of the hut, the rays of sunlight hitting my face and causing me to squint into the brightness. Finally, once my eyes adjust, I see Arnold waving at me excitedly from down the aisle. James stands next to him, smiling happily. Guests are starting to gather in the seats next to the arch, talking and smiling. This seems like a joyous occasion for everyone. I pick out my mother in the front row, laughing next to my brother Jack. That was family enough for me when you included the member that was joining today.

I join the two other boys at the arch, standing in between them in a little line. Arnold seems to be freaking out, breathing heavily. I pat his shoulder, unsure what to do in this situation. t seems like happy hyperventilating though, if that's a thing.

Suddenly, music starts. And I can't think of anything else besides the people advancing down the aisle.

Nabulungi leads the train, dazzling in a simple white dress to her ankles. It flows with a soft cloth, thin straps against her smooth shoulders. In her hair a veil is nestled, soft white flowers blooming against the gauzy fabric. Nothing is more brilliant than the smile she's wearing, bright and beautiful. She stands across from Arnold, unable to get rid of the smile as she hands her white rose bouquet to Kimbay.

Chris follows suit in a black three piece that matches James, Arnold's, and I's, looking as pocket sized as ever. He looks clean cut and adorable, grinning with only eyes for James. He's wearing a veil as well, without flowers but beautifully decorating his blond hair. His teeth sparkle and tears already leak from his eyes, spilling down his rosy cheeks and wetting his collar. He hands his bouquet of lilies to Elder Schrader, wiping his tears as he stands next to James. James reaches out to clean away the tears as well, lovingly watching Chris.

Behind Chris... oh. Oh.

Connor walks slowly down the aisle in a white suit, smiling softly at me and only me. His eyes sparkle with tears, threatening to spill over the edges. His hands clutch the bouquet of magnolias, and entwined around one of his fingers is a ring that I gave him months ago in preparation for this day. In his red hair, matching magnolias bud from behind his ears. He looks even more beautiful than he did on the day I first met him. He stands across from me, smiling gently, handing his flowers to Elder Davis. I reach out slowly, tracing his cheek with my thumb in wonder.

The ceremony blurs by. I barely register the officiant's words. Nabulungi and Arnold go first, and I only catch snippets of their vows. "Arnold, when you first came, I thought that you were just the sidekick. That you only said pointless things. That you had a weird thing for steak knives." "My Nala... my Neutrogena... my Nintendo 64.... my Nabulungi." Nabulungi started to cry at that.

Chris and James go after them, just as emotional. "James... I love you more than Poptarts." "Even more than strawberry?" "Even more than strawberry." "Even more than brown sugar cinnamon?" "... I'll get back to you on that." "Chris, I... I was always scared of love. But now, seeing you here, I-" "I love you more than brown sugar cinnamon!" "Okay, sweetheart, it's kinda my turn-" "Actually, wait." "..." "I can love two things."*James facepalms*

Finally, it gets to our turn. I look at Connor, who's full on sobbing now. "Connor... when I first saw you, I was this rude, self-involved prick. You saw through that and somehow fell in love with me. Something I always thought was impossible. It may be years later, but you'll always be that nineteen-year-old elder who showed me that I wasn't alone."

Connor looks at me with love in his eyes as the tears stream down his face. "Kevin. I always thought I was a glitch in the system, someone who should never have existed. I hurt myself by turning off all of my feelings until you appeared. You showed me that maybe I wasn't wrong. That I wasn't some evil thing. You helped me see that I was good. That I was loved. That you loved me. Thank you."

My eyes begin to water. Connor reaches out and wipes them away, earning even more tears.

"By the power invested in me by Eebowai," the officiant says, "I prounounce you husband and wife," he says, gesturing to Naba and Arnold, "I pronounce you husband and husband," he says, gesturing to Chris and James, "and I pronounce you husband and husband," he says, finally gesturing to me and Connor. "You may kiss your spouse."

I pull Connor into the deepest kiss I've ever given.

I kiss him.

I kiss Connor.

I kiss Connor Price.

I kiss my husband.
