Family Bonding

Pulling up into my grandparents drive way, a wave of nervousness washed over me. All I could think about was all the possible things that can happen. Like Izzy or Justin letting it slip that me and Nick are together in front of my mom, my dad showing up, or Justin saying something foolish and making my pop pop go nuts. Just the thought of all the possible mishaps that can take place are making me rethink coming here.

Suddenly im pulled out of my thoughts by a warm hand being placed on my sweaty shaky hand. I flinch and look over at Nick whose staring at me with worry written all over his face.

"Hey, you okay."

I sigh, "Yeah, just a little nervous.'

"Don't be. It's just your family so why be nervous." Easy for him to say, he doesn't know these crazy people like I do. The only normal one is my grammy Lilly, she's just the sweetest and most kind woman I know unless you piss her off then she's the worst enemy you would ever have. Hopefully my uncle Jared isn't here because he's worst than pop pop! Rude and over protective is uncle Jared. Oh, he's also my dad's best friend. Imagine two of my dad in one room. Pure madness!

"You don't know them like I do. Their all crazy."

He chuckles.

'Alright laugh all you want but don't say I didn't warn you when their in your face asking you the most outrageous things."

"Im a big boy, I can take care of myself." he says confidently. See that's one of the things I love about Nick he has so much confidence it's sexy.

I laugh and lean forward pecking him on the lips allowing all nervousness leave me mind.

"Well than big boy lets go." I whisper seductively on his lips then pull away getting out of the car.

"Hurry up!' I laugh at his shocked expression.

"Ugh! Your such a tease." he groans getting out of the car and slamming the door shut.

I laugh.

"Where is Justin and Izzy?" I ask walking over to Nick and kissing his cheek locking our hands together.

"Their behind you." I look behind me to see Izzy and Justin eating each others faces off. She moves on fast! Just last week she was all in love with Danny and now she's all over Justin. This girl and her wild heart. Smh.

"Can you two quit sucking face and come on."

Justin gives me the middle finger and pulls away from Izzy. Izzy quickly runs over to my side smiling and grabs my hand from nicks and locks arms with me.

"You two shouldn't be holding hands here." She's right. No PDA for me and Nick. That's going to be so hard. every time I see him I just want to kiss him, hold his hand, or have him hold me in his strong warm embrace. I don't know what it is but everyday my feelings for him get stronger and stronger. It's scary sometimes.

" I know. Anyways, whats going on with you and Justin?" I nudge her.

"nothing were just having fun."

"hmm..."

"hmm...what?"

"So you and the 'love of your life' Danny are over." I quote her exact words.

"Yep. Now quit asking me about my private life and let's get inside so I can see my husband." she says referring to my pop pop.

"One," I say holding up my index finger "your private life is my private life and vice versa, your words not mine. Two, " my middle finger joins my index "quit referring to my grandpa as your husband, it's disgusting he's fifty-six and your eighteen knock it off."
