Riza's POV

"Wow, do you know what day it is?!" Cleo says, bouncing around, holding a calender. "It's Memorial Day!!!"

"That completely slipped my mind," I say, looking up from my place on the bed in the hotel that we were staying at in Miami, Florida. I was writing notes about myself, and the others, just keeping to myself, letting the others do what they please, because I really just had to figure out what to do from now on.

"Can Cleo go and see shwiney fireworks tonight?!" Cleo asked me, jumping up and down.

Fireworks.

Fireworks.

Fireworks.

Fireworks.

They were always my favorite, I couldn't stand missing them. I loved them. I didn't know why, probably something to do with me, but I always felt empowered. They did something to me, literally.

"Yeah, I think it'll be fun."

"Wait, hoooooooooold on" Damien puts his hand on my forehead. "I think she might be-"

Smack!

"I'm not sick. I'm dead on serious. Now if you don't mind, I'm trying to get stuff done" Damien rubs his face. I can slap, hard. Don't think twice about my nature.

~Later That Night

"Cleo's going to see shwiney bright things!!" Cleo exclaimed, and she ran around on the beach, barefoot, wearing a loose fitting dress, making her look more childish, if her attitude, and her childish nature didn't warn you off.

The others set up a blanket to sit on, March carrying her over-sized BB gun, like she was expecting something. She fit right in, although one only could hope that she'd be okay, and not get in the way of any of our things.

"Riza, sit down, it's starting!" Alagretto told me, as all the others sat down, looking up over the ocean. I stood, my eyes lighting up as the first went off.

Bright purple. Then neon orange. They made an excellent show. They made me tremble with anticipation, under the vast glory of all of them, before another thing was felt.

A.O.U.

A cold shiver, different from the one of the fireworks show shot up my spine, as I looked around for anything metal. Nothing.

"Guys, showtime" I say, as they all look at me, and nod, getting up, as I heard a wind behind me, before breathing. I shot back a firey strike just in time to get the A.O.U. member with a sword, playing defensively. The others soon found themselves defending them, using our powers to defend ourselves, and March, shooting anything that got in the way.

"The gust that strikes the user, sweeping their hair back, greeting them, telling them that there is more to come, Hurricane Funnel!" I heard Aly shout, swiping out her arm releasing a gust of wind, turning into a hurricane, enclosing the A.O.U. member.

"Get outta here!" I hear March shout, before the repetitive shots of the BB gun. It was a good distraction.

"So, we meet again, Theresa" some guy came up, walking in the middle of all of this, while the A.O.U. members just bowed down, and stopped fighting. It was the 'telepathy' guy from before.

"I thought I destroyed you."

"Thought and did are two different things. It took a while, but I recovered."

"Well, looks like I have no choice, but to destroy you again." I say, sighing, putting my hand at an angle down to my side, creating a sword out of fire.

"This could easily be avoided without fighting, if you just easily agreed to come with-"

"No one's goin' anywhere. But you." I say, before looking up at the fireworks, before closing my eyes. "It shines a brilliant light, as the sky falls silent. It fills the sky with a light so bright, you can't help but watch as it turns out. Shine brightly." I opened my eyes. "Dance of the Fireworks!" I ran towards the weird man, the fire sword vanishing, as I punch this man, causing a huge explosion, as I hear the others exploding as like I was, the others around them affected, but them just fine, pressing forward, letting the light, heat, and color reflect off them. They easily destroyed the A.O.U. people, leaving not a trace behind. No one seemed to notice.

"Let's get outta here" Aly says, brushing off guts. We all agree, as the fireworks ended.

"I-I don't know what happened just now," I say as everyone else just ignores me, and March reloads her gun.

"You saved the day," Cleo smiles.

Riza, you're too powerful for your own good. You need to use less power, and just have the others do hard work, they need to survive on their own if they ever want to get anywhere, and be able to defend you. You can't do keep using strong power techniques that wear you down, and make you sleepy, if you know the others won't be able to help you much when you're down .

"It's cool, Riza."

"Huh?" I reply.

"I said, it's fine, nothing to worry about" Aly smiles. We leave, to go to a new place.
