Blair's P.O.V

Weeks had passed. Weeks had passed and we had done nothing with the coffins. This was not what I had in mind when I told Stefan he could get revenge on Klaus- however Stefan believes that the simple fact of Klaus not having them in his own possession is good enough for now.

"But we haven't done anything... this is not revenge." I whined for the 500th time.

"The simple lack of control that Klaus has of the coffins will be driving him crazy- you seen what he was like when he found out." Stefan responded and I nodded. It is true; Klaus went insane when he realised they had been taken. The one thing that was bugging me most was one coffin. I had opened all of them up- one held Kol, one held Rebekah, one held Elijah and one held some dude I've never seen wearing clothes from another era- who I presumed to be Finn. But there was still one more coffin, however this one couldn't be opened. I had tried everything- my own strength, magic, Stefan's super strength, a crowbar... nothing would wedge it open. It was really annoying me because although curiosity killed the cat, I couldn't help wanting to know what was in there... or who was in there.

"5 6 7 8!" Caroline shrieked and we all danced the routine. Step, kick, jump, tuck, box jump, back handspring, ... aerial, pyramid, basket toss blah blah. The routine ends with me doing an arabesque on the top of the pyramid, typical. Nevertheless, I did actually enjoy cheer leading.

"Wow! For once, wow! That was actually good, well done everyone! It only took us 24 times, but it finally looks good, good work!" Caroline yelled and I laughed, running to grab my bottle of water. Boy cheer leading sure is tiring.

"You suit being a cheerleader." Max said, appearing out of nowhere.

"I don't know whether that's a compliment or..." I laughed.

"Definitely a compliment." He nodded and I smiled.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Oh I was just walking around and then I saw you, I thought we could go grab some food together or something." He said and I nodded.

"Sure, wanna go the grill?" I asked and he agreed.

So me and max were sat in the grill and I ordered a burger and fries- cheerleading practice had made me so hungry.

"I feel like we haven't spoke properly in ages." Max said.

"I know right. There's been so much going on." I replied.

"I know, I was so disappointed that night when homecoming was cancelled." He said and I laughed mentally. That was actually a very eventful night... you just got compelled to leave by Kol.

"That was disappointing, but at least there'll be other school dances." I said positively and he agreed. It was then that I noticed two people playing darts and a wave of sadness washed over me. I hate to admit it but I actually did miss Kol... I hadn't realised how much time we actually spent together. These few weeks had felt quite boring and lonely because I usually see him quite often and despite the fact that we bicker all of the time- we do actually have fun together.

"Are you listening?" Max's voice snapped me back into reality.

"Sorry no. What were you saying?" I responded honestly and he sighed.

"We need to talk about us." He told me and now I sighed.

"We have talked about us. Plenty of times. Sure we get along well but Max my life is very complicated which means sometimes there will things going on that I can't talk about. But I don't think you understand that... and that's okay. But it's not okay for me, I can't constantly feel this pressure to try and involve you in what is going on." I explained, resting my head in my hands.
