"Mom.." Sakura stared at the blonde haired woman, she looked so happy.
"I always knew you and Naruto were meant for each other, your father would've been so proud!" Her mother replied, wiping a tear from her eye.
"Mom, about that..." Sakura started, but stopped as she saw the sudden worry on her mother's face.
She couldn't do this to her.
"Never mind, let's not keep everyone waiting!" Sakura put on a smile, taking her mother's hand.
A few minutes later, she stood in front of the aisle with over a hundred guests waiting to see her become Sakura Uzumaki.
But honestly, she wanted to become Sakura Uchiha instead.
As she began walking down the aisle, she caught Naruto's eye and immediately looked away. She couldn't look him in the eye, she was afraid he'd see just how much she didn't want to marry him.
However it was too late, because he already knew.
He sighed as he turned his gaze to Sasuke, who looked on with such a sad face. He knew they loved each other, who was he to keep them away from one another after they finally found each other again?
Quickly, Naruto left the alter and grabbed Sakura's hand, who had begun to slow down her pace considerably which confused her poor mother very much.
Next, Naruto grabbed Sasuke from where he sat and dragged them both up to where he and Sakura were supposed to be standing.
"You belong together." He stated, placing Sakura's hand in Sasuke's.
Sakura stared at Naruto in shock, as did Sasuke. Their shock was replaced with complete gratitude very quickly, as they finally comprehended what was happening.
"Naruto, thank you!" Sakura cried, hugging whom she assumed was her ex-fiancé now.
"I want you to be happy, Sakura. Even if it's not with me.." he painfully replied, hugging her back.
"Thank you." Sasuke said, offering Naruto his hand.
"You better not hurt her again, I don't want to have to regret this." Naruto gave Sasuke a pointed look, gripping his hand and shaking it.
"I won't, promise."
And so began the ceremony, as Naruto sat down next to little Sakura Uchiha and tried not to cry. Sakura's mother sat with Naruto's uncle, Jiraiya, trying to figure out what was going on.
"I'm sure Naruto will explain this to us, but for now let's enjoy the ceremony." Jiraiya said, a little gruffly but he tried to be understanding.
___
The explanations were tough, Naruto's uncle was obviously less than pleased. Sakura's mother did not know what to think, but her daughter was happy and that was all she could ask for as of now.
Sakura had wanted to have a word with the blonde, she felt terrible. She loved Sasuke, so so much, but she still cared for Naruto. He had become a very close friend of hers, and she broke his heart.
She went about her search, looking around the large house. She had made it to the second floor, where a balcony rested as it's center piece. She heard muffled voices from said balcony, and walked closer to the glass doors to get a better glimpse of the shadowed figures that stood there.
She let out a silent gasp as she recognized Naruto, still dressed in a tux fit for a groom. Next to him, a beautiful raven haired woman patted his shoulder in a reassuring way. She recognized the woman as Hinata Hyuga, the ever popular television host. Sakura smiled when she heard Naruto let out a small but sad laugh at something Hinata had said, the pinkette decided she'd talk things over at a later time.
With that, she descended the stairs, deciding to look for her husband instead.

[Time Skip - 4 Years Later]
Eleven year old Sakura Uchiha bounded down the stairs as the sound of the doorbell echoed through their house. "I got it!" She called.
"Bring them over to the dining room, dinner's almost ready!" Her father called back, making his daughter nod although he couldn't see her.
She opened the door, and was greeted by the smiling faces of her Uncle and Aunt, and her little friend. "Is that Boruto?!" She asked excitedly, he was almost as big as her younger sister Sarada now.
Hinata laughed, "Yes it is, May we come in?" She asked. Sakura nodded, stepping back to let them in and receiving a ruffling of her hair by her uncle Naruto.
She lead them to the dining room, excitedly telling them about what she'd done so far in middle school and how Sarada kept putting things from the ground in her mouth.
As they entered, they were greeted by the sight of Mrs, Uchiha putting her almost two year old daughter in her high chair, and Sasuke putting the last dish on the table. "Hey guys!" The pinkette greeted, standing up and offering a warm smile.
"Nice to see you again, Sakura." Naruto greeted, holding his son whom was about the same age as Sarada.
Naruto and Hinata had gotten married not even two years after they'd met, and were more than happy. The Uzumaki's and the Uchiha's remained close friends, meeting up whenever they could. Today was one of those days, and the two families happily enjoyed one another's company.
They all got the happy ending they wished for, just not in the way they expected.
The end.
