"There you go Mr. Stilinski" the nurse said, wrapping the bandages around his torso where the new stitches lay. Stiles let his shirt drop back down, staring at it sadly. It wasn't that serious, just a flesh wound, but the stitches were to stop the bleeding and help the healing start.
Stiles sighed, pulling his coat on."So, am I good to go to play in my team's championship game on Friday?" he asked, adding, "If I even play". The nurse missed the last bit, nodding and smiling.
"You should be good to go. Just try and take it easy and if the stitches rip, come on back in" she smiled, grabbing her clipboard before walking out of the room.
Stiles followed her out of the room, walking slowly down the hallway. There was still a dull pain in his side but it was much better now that he was on pain medication. He stepped out side, shivering in the chilly air. He walked towards his jeep, sighing happily at the comforting sight. He got in, the jeep roaring to life.
Emma's C.D. came on through the speakers, Stiles reflexively turning it off. He sighed, leaning his head against the wheel as a wave of sadness washed over him. It had only been a day since they broke up but the agony was unbearable. Everywhere he looked reminded him off Emma. Every thought he had, had something to do with Emma. He didn't know what to do, so lost without her.
His phone rang, Stiles perking up excitedly. Maybe she had come to her senses and changed her mind. He grabbed his phone, a frown coming over his face as he read the caller I.D., Scott. A sigh escaped him as he hit answer.
"Hey dude" Scott greeted cheerfully from the other end of the phone, Stiles groaning in response. How come Scott got to be happy and not him? Scott paused, picking up his friend's unchanged mood. "Well, I guess you're still upset but we're going to Derek's and I figured you should come" Scott answered, Stiles groaning even louder. That was the last thing he wanted to do .
"Why would I do that?" Stiles questioned, his voice soaked in sarcasm. Scott sighed, frustrated with this glumness. Scott couldn't stand to see his usually energetic friend so depressed and forlorn.
"Because," Scott started, drawing out his word. He decided the only way to beat him was to stay positive. "You two could both use some cheering up! And Isaac and I have made it our mission to do so." Scott's voice was filled with optimism, making Stiles sick.
Stiles paused, thinking for a moment. "Besides Derek's usual grumpy attitude, what's different?" Stiles wondered, curious as to why Derek needed cheering up.
"Didn't you hear?" Scott asked, surprised, Stiles rolling his eyes. "Boyd and Erica left to find another pack. They said they didn't want to be around Gerarde. They wanted out and didn't care who got hurt in doing so. It really hit Derek hard" Scott sighed sadly, Stiles even feeling a pang of sympathy for Derek.
Stiles rubbed his temples, trying to make the headache go away. The phone was silent for a little, Scott waiting as Stiles thought. "Yeah okay. I'll be there in ten" Stiles replied, Scott yipping in excitement on the other end. "Yeah, yeah see you soon" Stiles muttered, hanging up as he dropped his phone in the cup holder.
He shifted the car into drive, glancing down at the radio. He sighed, reaching forward as he turned on the radio, Emma's songs flooding the car. At least her memory was happy.

"I don't see why you just don't take him back if you're so miserable. He's obviously still head over heels in love with you" Lydia hummed, the next day, tracing her hand over Emma's arm. She had already seen Allison and Lydia's mind so physical contact was okay. Emma sighed, leaning against the locker as Allison unloaded her books into it.
