The pack waited quietly around Emma in the hallway of the school. Stiles was the most anxious. He sat next to Emma, holding her hand. He dreaded he had missed his chance. His chance to marry her. His chance to grow old together. He dreaded that it was over for her and he was going to lose his mate. He would live the rest of his miserable life without her.

They had just found out Aiden had died. Stiles knew that would crush Emma just as much as it had crushed Lydia who was quietly crying, Derek trying to comfort her. Isaac sat near by, curled up in a ball rocking back and forth. Scott sat next to Stiles, trying to make him feel better: an impossible task. Kira hugged Ethan who was going through something so painful, it was hard for everyone else to understand. The pack was broken and hurt.

She lay unmoving for ten minutes now. Stiles had begun to fear the worst. She was dead. The nogitsune had taken her with it. Stiles's lip trembled as he watched Emma lay cold and still. The purple bags under her eyes dark against her pale skin. He rubbed his thumb over her cold hand, trying to wake her up. Stiles looked down at his phone as it hit the fifteen mark. A tear slipped down Stiles's cheek. "Please wake up" Stiles begged, his lip trembling. Scott lay his hand on his friends back.

"Stiles I think its time" Scott whispered, wishing it wasn't true. Emma was one of his closest friends. He didn't want to lose her to. Stiles shook his head, knowing Scott was right. More tears began to stream down Stiles's face. Everyone stood up, hugging each other. The lose of there "pack mom" was weighing heavy on their heart. Stiles got onto his knees, hovering over Emma. He carefully moved a strand of hair off of her delicate face. He leaned forward, laying one last gentle kiss on her cold lips. A tear dripped onto her face.

"I love you Em. I always will" Stiles whispered, standing up. He turned into Scott, pulling him into a hug as he began to sob uncontrollably into his shoulder. Scott didn't say anything, just hugged his friend tightly as he to began to cry. Lydia began to cry harder. That was three friends dead in the course of two days. Stiles clung onto Scott, fearing that he was the only thing keeping him alive. "Why?' Stiles cried into Scott's shoulder. Stiles knew he was feeling similar pain. Scott had lost the love of his life to. Sure Kira was interested in Scott and Scott would probably move on, Allison would always be his girl. And Emma Stiles's.

Derek stared at the ground. As much as he tried not to, he couldn't keep from crying. Streams of tears ran down his face as he looked at Emma. He had meant a lot to him. She could always see through his bullshit. She would always give him advice. She would always make him feel better even when he felt like the worst person alive. She was practically the head of the pack. And now, she had died trying to save it. Derek felt his heart snapping in half as he smelt depression rolling off of Stiles.

Lydia cried into Derek's shoulder. She was lost. Allison, her very best friend since the day she moved here had died. Aiden, her boyfriend who, though she'd never admit it, she loved very much had died. Emma her best friend who had fought with her and made her laugh, was dead. Lydia's world was crumbling. She had predicted Allison but she hadn't seen Aiden and Emma coming. She didn't know how she was ever going to make it through it.

Isaac rocked silently, staring at a girl he loved. Not romantically. No not at all. Motherly. She had taken care of him. Brought him back to normal if you will. Made the nightmares go away, and made Isaac able to enjoy some of his life. Emma had helped him find trust in Stiles. Emma had been a bright light in Isaac's life. And it was suddenly extinguished. After his his mom, his brother, his dad and Allison, Emma was topping it off. And it hurt more than Isaac thought could exist.

Everyone got ready to leave. To call the police and be questioned about how Emma, their beloved friend, girlfriend and pack member died. To grieve a terrible loss. To try and survive without her. The pack was quiet as they readied themselves. The only noise the sound of the quiet sobs. Then the silence broke. Gasping for air, Emma awoke. She sputtered for air, coughing violently. Everyone turned to her, shocked. They hadn't heard her heartbeat. She gasped, her breathing slowing down, everyone wiping their tears as it seemed they were unnecessary. She heaved for breath. "Where's Aiden?" she sputtered as she counted her pack members as any pack leader would do.
