"a can't believe you," i laughed at alex who was sat in an armchair across the room, his legs dangling over one of the arms in a way that did not look comfortable. he looked up from his phone and gave me a shit eating grin.
"love you," he kissed the air and smiled at me.
"you're meant to comment cute shit on my posts, not something that will give the fbi even more reason to monitor my phone. sometimes i wonder if i love you," i sighed, shaking my head and tutting at my phone.
"oh really?"
"i sure do."
he raised his eyebrows and clicked off his phone, laying it to rest on the arm of the seat. "come show me how much you hate me then."
"ok, i will." i rolled off the bed and approached him slowly, probably making him think i would cave and give him what he wanted. just as i got close to him i pounced and started to ruthlessly tickle his side.
"oh fuck, stop! will, get off!" he started laughing so hard he couldn't form a coherent sentence. he writhed and thrashed in my arms like an excited puppy, which only made me move my hands and tickle him more.
"ah... stop! i'm gonna—piss myself!" he almost yelled, managing to grab one of my wrists.
i laughed in his face as he calmed down, then gave him a quick peck on his forehead.
"i really do need to pee now." he moved off the armchair and went towards the en suite. he turned back briefly as i spoke:
"let's go out and do something."
"like what?"
"i dunno, something stupid."
"it's always stupid with you will."

it was 9pm and the sun had just set over the horizon. the warm breeze still made our t-shirts flutter against our chests and the surfers' hair soar as they rode their last few waves of the day.
