"I want a divorce." I say to April after all the apologizing she had took her time doing. It sounded convincing, and if the kiss between Brielle and I hadn't took place I would be home with her.

"Za.." She said in disbelief.

"The divorce papers should've dropped off in the next couple of hours. Just sign them, give them back to my lawyer and just let it go."

"Zahir, is there anything else I could do?" She asked her voice cracked.

"I have feelings for someone else April, and I want to try something new with her." I say honestly

"O-Okay do I know her?" She asked desperately

"You do, Brielle we ain't dating or nothing but I do like her and once I'm done with this situation and I've got myself to a somewhat emotionally stable mindset it'll be exclusive. I wanted to be the one to tell you before you found out anywhere else, now sign the divorce papers please."

"Zahir! I'm not letting some little ass kid co-"

I hung the phone up, I didn't have to put up with her yelling. I tossed my phone next to me on the bed, my room door opened and in came Brielle. I sat up, "Why you look mad?" I asked

"Because I am, my dad won't stop arguing with my mom. It's like every 5 minutes he's at her throat about something, and then his wife caught him cheating so I guess he's angry because shit ain't going okay at home so he wants to come fucking up my mom's happy life so then Kehlani gotta-"

"Shhhh you rambling Bri, come here." I say and she sighed walking up the 4 steps climbing into bed, she laid her head on my chest as soon as I laid back. "Look uncle Jamie gone be uncle Jamie, he cheats on all his women this one just so happens to stay when he cheats that's why she got the ring. She's probably tired of his shit and is giving his ass a hard time about it this time around. They gone be alright though Michelle always snap his ass back to reality when she feel like being bothered with him." I say kissing her forehead. "Your moms and uncle Jamie are best friends and it's normal for uncle Jamie to spazz because he's petty and he goes through that I want Trinity back stage before he realizes Auntie K not worried about him or threatened by him and he goes back to his goofy self."

"Yeah, that sounds about right." She said chuckling. "He too old to be doing that. I'm so exhausted with this cycle, and at first they were good at hiding it but now it's just like if Kehlani and mom not home I would rather be here or at Uncle Trey and Auntie Nicki house because Auntie Robyn is mean and my dad is really a bitch when he's like this ."

"I know, I filed for divorce today and I told April about you so one step forward." I said and that made her smile.

"That made my day better." She says straddling my waist.

"I'm glad I could put a smile on your face." I folded my arms behind my head looking up at her.

Brielle was a lot to handle but she is worth it. That's what most guys fail to realize, she's a great girl to have by your side once you get the attitude in check. There was a knock on my room door, "Za!" Zaria shouted from the other side of the door.

Brielle laid next to me in a less inappropriate way, "Come in!" I shouted and my room door opened and in came my sister and switch. "Nigga how you get in my house?" I asked switch laughing as I walked down the steps greeting him with a handshake.
