"She's one of the only girly girls on the basketball team, I'm captain of the guys basketball team, and she plays varsity on the girls team. We had an away game last year and I seen her sitting by herself. I noticed how to herself she was if she wasn't with Bella and Riley. So I sat next to her, and she told me to get my ass up but I didn't. She was only there for moral support she was going to physical therapy to learn to walk again, and when I didn't move and I kept making her laugh she let me stay. She was stubborn at first, it took me a month to get her to actually stop calling me a knot head ass lil boy. After that? It was only up,she was my cheer leader at games, and I was hers-"
"So you telling me y'all been together for a year and you just now taking her on a date?" I asked
He chuckled, "Yes sir, it was only because I'm an all around athlete so I had no time. Now I do, and I'm gonna take her out as much as I'm allowed." He replied, he shit the last ball before the timer went off.
I looked around and seem Morgan recording Bria and Zade playing guitar hero. "Zade is my heart, closest person to me in this family. Hear me when I say this young man." I turned to look at him. "I ain't gone place judgement on you based on your brother's actions, but if I so much as hear something about you disrespecting her, I'm gone find you and I will kill you. I don't play about her she has already been through enough. You're about to graduate high school and go to college which means more girls, and they all say they won't look at other girls and all this and that but it don't always work out like that. With that being said, if you start feeling somebody else, you be honest with her and you break up with her. If you cheat on her, I will kill you. "Ion mean to be hard on you, but the women in this family endure a lot, and I'm tired of it." I explain. "Gone ahead and get back to your date, just know it'll be worse when you meet her dad, and even worst when you meet her other brother." He chuckled nodding

He started to walk off but he stopped and turned to look at me, "You kind giving me a ride home? I don't wanna cause anymore problems by calling my brother, and if I'm being honest I think he gone beat my ass when I get home." He said with nervous chuckle
"Yeah, and I'll give you my number before we leave. If he does just call me and I'll come get you." I replied, he nodded before he continued on over to where Zaria, Bria and Morgan were.
Zade Ashley Brown:
"What did he say?" I asked Lance as I closed the door to the family bathroom locking it.
"Nothing that I don't already know, it's okay my queen. I told you I can take literally anything for you." He said giving me a reassuring smile. I couldn't help but to blush. "I also see why you waited so long to bring me to meet your family, that Morgan chick threatened me like 7 times and Bria? She popped me upside the head talking about some just in case I was thinking about hurting you." He said making me chuckle.
"I don't want you to go home, did you tell Joseph your brother is crazy when he don't get his way?"
"Kinda, I really don't even wanna put my problems on anybody like that Zar. I can handle it, I got like 6 months of school left and then I'm outta there and I'm at NYU in a dorm." He said
"Baby a lot can happen in 6 months-"
"Shhhh it's my job to worry about you, not the other way around." He replied, he grabbed my face kissing my nose. I sighed allowing him to kiss my lips. Lance was a humble and honest man, he knew he wasn't the strongest, but when it came to me? He didn't fear anything.
You would think by how sweet and popular he is he has the best home life, but he don't. His mom does her best for him, but she is on drugs and he sometimes has to use the money he saved to pay the bills because she wants to fuck her money off on drugs.
His older brother just started coming back around, and when he don't get his way he beats Lance up. Lance said that's what siblings do, but you don't beat your brother up so bad to the point to where he has to sit out of practice because of his bruised ribs, and black eye. He fucked up his vision, he couldn't see straight for 2 weeks.
Lance gets the bad end of the stick in his family. While Levi has a college degree and a job he does nothing for the household, he isn't the man of the house. Lance is, the nights their mom comes home fucked up he takes care of her while Levi calls her a white and a crack head.
I would be on the phone with him when his brother would say demeaning things to both him and his mom. Nobody knows but me, he doesn't want pity he just wants to help his mom and be as successful as he can be so that he can get away from that and get his mom away from that.
"I promise I'm okay, now come on before your brother thinks I'm trying to get in your pants and I die at an early age." He said trying to walk around me. I stepped in front of him putting my hand on his chest.
"Promise me if it gets too bad you'll tell Joseph." I say
