Kehlani Ashley Parrish:

"Za what do you mean!" I heard Brielle yell, they been arguing all day. She ain't left her damn room since they started arguing. "I don't have to watch my attitude if I don't wanna! Matter of fact I'll call you when I feel like talking." She said angrily, I looked down at Trinity who was sleeping on my chest.

She had 2 12 hour surgeries so she was tired. I carefully laid her head on the pillow getting up from the bed. I walked out of our room across the hall into her room. "Ma I'm not talking I'm pissed." She said as soon as I closed her door taking a seat on her bed.

"Brielle you're 18, you are technically grown which means you have to talk, even when you don't wanna." I laid back on her bed folding my arms behind my head, she huffed.

"Za's mad at me Ma. He won't talk to me, I had to go off on him in order to get a word out of him and I don't like it I'm not getting my way." She pouted

"You wanna be honest with me?" I asked sitting up on my elbows.

"Okay but ma you cannot tell anyone, Za's just trying to get through the divorce before we tell everyone we are seeing each other." She spoke lowly and I smiled.

"I knew it, now Zahir is a man that don't like drama." I started. "Brielle, he's different from a lot of other guys you dated, his dad was actually a great example unlike most dad's. So if there's already drama in his life with the divorce going on, why are you giving him a hard time?"

"It wasn't even like that, he got soft on me. April was crying and talking about some she sorry and how Za was all she had, she pulled that my family got killed in a car accident stunt and Za fell for it so I was checking his ass. That bitch not about to play mind games with him, I will kill her she's already did enough damage." She explained. "Za just doesn't like the way I be comin at him, and I admit I need to fix that but I can't help the reaction I have when he does something dumb and I'm saving him."

"Stop saving him then."

"I won't ever stop saving that boy ma, I've loved him every since I was 13. I'm not gonna stand by and let her keep hurting him."

"Well Brielle the adult thing to do here is talk to him, you even said it yourself he just doesn't like the way you be coming at him so apologize and talk to h-"

"Brielle I swear to god I told yo ass about hanging up on me st-" Za stopped mid-sentence as soon as he walked into the room seeing me. "Hey Auntie K." He said closing the door behind him.

"Technically I'm ya new mom in law." I say, and he smiled looking away. "My mouth is closed, I just want y'all to know the best bitches are investigating y'all so uh be a little more careful, and you tell your mother you're getting a divorce she's worried about yo ass. She think you her damn baby for real act like you gotta tell her ass everything. Y'all are cute, Brielle remember what I said. Nephew you hurt my princess and I swear on my life I'll kill you." I say with a smile. His face dropped I could read the fear on his face before I left out the room leaving them alone.

Zahir Maurice Brown:

"Come on." I mumbled to Brielle the moment I landed on the roof of my parents house. I got out the car walking over to her side opening the door, once she got out we were face to face.

"Za she can't pull the I don't have anybody card when she's the one who fucked up baby boy, that's all I'm saying."

"I know, I'm sorry for playing right into her hand. I already let her know not to contact me anymore baby, if she has anything she has to say to me I gave her my lawyers number and blocked her." I sighed kissing her forehead.

"Thank you Zahir." She replied with a sigh of relief. "I just don't want anybody else to hurt you, I wanna protect you the best way I can cause you do the same for me all the time. This ain't no give and take Za, you give I give. You sacrifice I sacrifice, we in this together. April cannot come between us, nothing can come between us okay? We gotta build a strong foundation if we even want this to work."

"I'm sorry too, we gotta work on communication but I'm not going no where and I won't let you leave without fighting for you either why you think I just popped up at your house. You can't hang up on a nigga and block him. You legit blocked me up shit was going straight to voicemail." I chuckled shaking my head, as we entered the house she jumped on my back.

"You pissed me off, I knew blocking you would make you as angry as I was it works every time." She said as I entered my bedroom, I closed and locked the door and she got down. "I'm sorry baby boy." She said as I turned to face her.

The moment she looked up at me, and my face was between her hands all my anger had flushed. She pulled my face down to hers, she stood on her tippy toes meeting my lips halfway.

Our lips moved in a sync, our eyes gradually closed. I wrapped my arms around her small waist lifting her up a bit so she was the same height as me. Our lips moved in the same rhythm and I was only hoping her heart was beating as fast as mine.

In the last month that we had been seeing each other, the way we kissed I knew we were going to last forever I knew for sure she was my soulmate. There was no questioning it, if I took this slow and did this the right way I had a shot at having a real healthy relationship.

I laid her down on the bed and she pulled my jacket off my arms before wrapping her arms around my torso pulling me down between her legs. In the heat of this moment everything felt right, all the bad shit that was in my head was gone.

The moment I started kissing on her neck I watched her bite into her bottom lip, I heard my door knob twist but I'd locked it so it didn't open. "Don't stop Za." She mumbled lowly as I lifted her shirt I began placing a trail of kisses down her stomach slowly.

"Zahir! Yo wife here man!" I heard my dad shout. "Get downstairs now before yo mom sees her."
