Y/N's POV
The flight back to England was all good as usual. Everyone seemed to be calm again after the loss but soon there was going to be a party at Marcus' to celebrate all the efforts and hard work everyone had put in to this year of matches.
You sat next to Charlotte during the flight where both of you just watched movies together and ate a whole bunch of snacks whilst the kids were occupied by Marcus and Jesse who each had a child on their lap.
"Hey Lotte, we're all going to grab dinner later on tonight, come with?" You asked her
"Sorry, I'm a lil' tired. I'll see you all at the party in a few days anyways. Thanks though" She replied giving a small smile in return.

Everyone was once again settled back in England. You and Marcus decided to grab some dinner at Nandos and joined the rest of the team.
It was all chats and laughter reminiscing the good times we had in Russia. You were placing food on Brandon's plate when you suddenly glanced over to the entrance and saw Charlotte walking hand in hand with someone. You looked over to the right to see MATEO ROG holding her hand.
You honestly couldn't believe your eyes. They were seated to a table of two and you got up to approach them and confront them both.
You stood up and Marcus looked at you "Where you goin" He asked looking up at you. "I'm about to have some fun" You smirked
You headed towards them and stood behind Charlotte. Mateo had smile on his fave when he saw you approach them. "Y/n, hello I didn't expect to see you here" He waved. Charlotte froze in place. "Heyyy lovebirds" He blushed. Charlotte turned and looked extremely embarrassed. "Y/n how did you find us hereeee" He laughed nervously again. "Well, I did tell you that we were all going for dinner and I thought you were tired but here you are" You laughed as you thought it was really cute of Charlotte to give such a rubbish excuse to cover up her little date with Mateo. "Are you guys like a thing?" You asked curiously
"No"
"Yes" Mateo and Charlotte both said at the same time.
"Yes, we are together but its complicated" Charlotte looked down. "Complicated? I thought Y/N knew since the beginning" He questioned Charlotte. "Charlotte how dare you not tell me this" You play hit her. "Woopsie" Charlotte replied. "Ugh this is just a mess, can I explain everything later. Let's go to another place please Teo" Charlotte said getting up
"Teo haha. Lotte theres nothing for you to explain. I think I understand the situation. Have a fun date" You said rubbing her back. Mateo and Charlotte both walked out but Charlotte seemed to rush out in embarrassment and Mateo just followed behind.
Charlotte's POV
"Hey Lotte love I thought they all knew" Mateo said pulling you back. I looked up at him. "Sorry, now realising I didnt need to hide it" I looked down. "Why'd you hide it anyways" He questioned "I dont know, I just thought everyone would disagree or not like us together because you're from a different team or whatever" She sighed "Give me a hug" He said pulling me in. I gave him a hug and smiled back. I enjoyed the rest of night as we had dinner and a couple of drinks.

Once we reached home, I pulled my phone out to facetime Y/N
She picked up in a matter of seconds
"Heyyyy girly" She waved
"Hey babygirl, can I just explain everything" I sighed looking down
"No need, I'm sure we all understand" She laughs
"You're not mad?" You questioned
"Its whatever, like AS IF i didn't know" She scoffed
"Whatever.. thank you anyways"
"Love ya gurllll, byeeee" She blew a kiss through the screen
"Love ya too babygirl, i'll text ya soon" You blew a kiss back and ended the facetime.
You were glad that she was understanding eventhough you attempted to hide it from her which clearly didn't work.
