It was dark outside and the full moon was out. The white moon was glistening on my face as I felt a shiver go down my spine. I had the sudden feeling I was being watched but I shrugged off the thought. It was nearly midnight so no one would be out at this hour.

It was the perfect time to go for a walk and not be disturbed by the busy streets of Chicago. I never really trusted any of the people here since a person murdered my mother and a man had conned my father. So I decided to walk out at night instead of day.

My father agreed to that and somehow got me into a night class for school. My class was done for today since it starts at 8 and ends at 11.

I still felt someone's presence so I turned around. I saw a human figure but it disappeared into the fog. It was probably my imagination. I started walking staring at the sky as I moved. It was beautiful at how the simple things in life would have great magnificence.

Next thing I knew, I fell to the ground pain swelling in my head. I thought I hit a tree but a hand was brought up to my face to help me up. I was scared so I didn't take the hand.

I felt the person smirk. "Relax, it's just a hand. It won't hurt you," he said. I still didn't believe him.

"Come on. Are you going to just sit down by my feet or are you going to stand?" He asked still showing his hand. I sighed. He had a point.

I took his hand and met his eyes. His caramel eyes made me fall into a trance. They were hypnotizing.

I let his hand go and I looked down. "Um, thank you," I said. He smiled. "Welcome. I'm Ty Solano and you are?"

"Leaving," I replied and started to walk away but he pulled my wrist. I struggled to break free but to no avail. "Fine. I'm Scarlet de Silva," I snapped back. "Now let me go you freak!" He smirked and released my wrist. I started to run away and blocked out all questions I had in my mind. I walked towards the park around the street and sat on the bench. The question that popped up mostly in my mind was why he was following me.

I looked at my watch. It was 12:30 A.M. I thought my father would worry so I went home.

I hung my coat and threw my keys into the tray. "Dad I'm home," I said searching the house. I went into the living room and saw a lump in the couch.

He was sleeping. I checked his temperature and he was boiling. "Dad! You're sick!" I said. He grunted.

I ran outside oblivious to the cold. "Help!" I screamed. "Help please!" I knew it was no use since no one would be up at around midnight but it was worth a try.

Next thing I knew, a boy was in front of me saying, "What do you need?" I stared gaping. I wondered how he got there so fast. "My father is sick. Can you bring him to a hospital?" I asked. He nodded and ran to my father.

I know I shouldn't trust a stranger but my father needed me. Besides, there's a first time for everything.

The guy brought my father to his car in 10 seconds flat. We got to the hospital faster than I expected too.

Once we brought my dad to the emergency room, I sat down next to the guy. "Thank you," I said looking down.

"You're welcome. Besides, how could I say no when I've seen your face a few minutes ago," he replied.

"Wait, what do you mean?" I asked. Then I looked up and saw the eyes I've seen that sent chills down my spine. "You?"
