Jeongguk had never worked up more of a sweat in his entire life. He stood there, panting at the half court line as Jaliyah mindlessly made yet another three-pointer as she waited for him to catch his breath. If he had known she was that good he would have just skipped to the arcade games. She'd managed to make him run more than he had ever run in his entire 17 years of life and he couldn't handle it. He didn't know he was that out of shape until he was out of breath the first 15 minutes they started playing and they were only an hour in at being at the arcade.

"Jeongguk I'm playing you in my socks and you're already sweating?" She teased as she dribbled the ball around him, he still couldn't catch his breath. It was like it ran away and wouldn't come back.

"Who the fuck are you? Lebron James?" He wheezed, clutching his chest. He managed to lift himself back up as he stared at her. She hadn't broken a sweat since they started and he was truly amazed. Even with sweat, she would still look beautiful.

"If I make this shot at the half court line, you owe me $50," Jaliyah said, smiling. Jeongguk gave her a look, daring her to do it. She couldn't possibly make it that far.

"You won't make it." He challenged, with a daring look. Jaliyah didn't say anything as she settled her foot behind the half court line and positioned the ball in her hands ready to shoot, she gave Jeongguk a wink before shooting the ball towards the net, watching as it went in smoothly with a swish sound. Jeongguk dropped his jaw at the scene. He didn't want to give her $50, but it was a bet and he lost.

"Run me my money baby boy." She exclaimed as she extended her hand to get her cash. Jeongguk mumbled incoherent words as he reached into his pocket to give her the money. She smiled and snatched the money from his grasp. He rolled his eyes and walked towards the exit of the gym with her following after. The pair walked down the hall to the arcade and opened the huge double doors. Jaliyah was the first to walk in and immediately ran towards the Just Dance machine. She turned to him and smiled.

"Ready to get your ass kicked again boo?"

Loud EDM music played in the building as the continued to compete with each other the games they were playing. They were only an hour in and Jaliyah had more fun than she had in a long time since her father passed. Jeongguk was a really fun person to be around, and she could sense that he was starting to grow on her but she wasn't complaining. She liked it. The ravenette made sure she was having a good time before he took her to eat at the buffet.

"Stop cheating bab- I mean Jaliyah." He stared, quickly recovering himself as the two continued to steer their wheels on the race track machine they were competing on. His eyes bulged out of his head in fear that she would get mad at him for almost calling her a pet name. He knew it was way too early to be calling her that, he didn't even know how she felt about him yet and here he was trying to call her a name that only couples do. She chuckled and shook her head, giving him a side glance,

"It's okay dude. You can call me babe." She reassured with a laugh. He suddenly relaxed and gave her a smile to which she had returned as they continued to compete and banter at each other for the other cheating.

To her, it was nothing, just a small pet name that he'd call her every once in a while but he took it a totally different way. Jeongguk felt as if it was the sign to call her any pet name he had wanted to, and he intended to.

After a while, he felt his stomach growl.

"I'm getting hungry. You wanna go to the buffet now?" He asked her as he took his hands off the wheel. He leaned back in his sea and sighed, rubbing his stomach as it growled lowly to where only he could hear.

Jaliyah only nodded her head and hopped off of the machine, letting Jeongguk grab her hand and lead her to the exit of the arcade and back into the hallway. They walked for a while until the two stopped in front of the door. Jeongguk opened it and let her in first before going in right behind. She smiled and gave him a small thank you, he smiled softly in return and nodded his head, hoping she didn't see the reddish pink blush rush up to his face.

Since they already paid when they walked into the building a woman with cherry red lips and short black hair led them to their seats, giving them their eating utensils and kindly told them that there were an unlimited amount of plates so the two decided to get out of their seats and grab food. Jaliyah grabbed as much food as she could so she could max out her eating rule, RMFC. It was a simple rule she and her grandma made whenever they went out so they could eat a lot and not get full until they've had their last dish.

"You're eating all of that?" Jeongguk asked as he had seen her with a large tray of a variety of meats and spices she was eager to cook. She even had rice and cold noodles (which he loved). She set the food down and eagerly sat in her seat. Jeongguk was kind of shocked, he had never seen a female eat so much at one time. He wasn't surprised because Jaliyah was thick in all the right areas so he definitely wasn't complaining.

"Yes, I have a rule. RMFC. I can eat a whole bunch of food if I balance it out the correct way and not eat all over the place. First, it's grilled meat, second is grilled marinated meat, third is fried or white rice, and lastly is cold noodles. If I eat rice and meat together then I'll get full. It's better to eat one set of food at a time so you can have more room for more. Two sets of food will cover your stomach to being full since it isn't that big. It's also healthier for me since I'm a basketball player. I need all the protein I can get." Jaliyah explained, grabbing a plate and putting four slices of grilled meat on the pan in the middle of their table. She smiled as she heard the immediate sound of sizzling, the smelling lingering in the air.

"So Jeon, is there anything I should know about you?" She asked she grabbed a piece of meat and put it in her mouth, not caring that it was hot and fresh off the pan.

Jeongguk shrugged his shoulders as he thought about the stuff he could tell her. There was no way he was going to tell her about the reason why he became a player and that his mother is basically getting abused by their father every day and there was nothing he could do about it. He'd rather tell her simple stuff instead. He didn't want to scare her off and he was trying to win her heart for good.

"Well," He started, "You already know my name. I'm 17, I was born in Busan but moved here so I could be closer to my hyungs. I love to sing and dance. I love the color brown for some reason. I hate rainy days. I want to be a singer when I get out of high school, and that's pretty much it." He stated, there wasn't much about it but there was a lot he wasn't ready to tell her and he didn't know if he ever would be.

"How about you? Is there anything I should know about you?" He asked.

Jaliyah was a second away from opening her mouth before they heard an annoyingly loud screech followed by the heavy footsteps of heels or some kind of boot. They slowly turned their head to see Jieun coming at them with full force. Her hair flying everywhere as her face fumed an angry red. Jaliyah groaned and ate the last bit of her meat, waiting for Jieun. She didn't want to waste good food.

'Why can't I just be with Jaliyah on my own?' Jeongguk thought to himself as he banged his head on the table.

It was always something.
