Izumi's POV

As Shisui, Itachi and I ninja ran to the village, I could sense the unease radiating from Shisui. What was going on? I knew the the Uchiha and the Kimikoto clans had been suspected of mutiny, but it couldn't be this bad. And besides, what would the Hokage want from me?

We reached the the Hokage building in no time, and being the kids we were, we jumped in thorough the window. "Next time, could you possibly use the door?" The Third sighed.

"Well... I suppose. But you can't expect that every time!" Shisui replied indignantly. Itachi and I smiled. Leave it to him to lighten the mood.

"As you know, you all have applied to become jōnin ANBU. You've all gotten exceptional grades and I have faith that you will become very, very sting shinobi in the future. As I've received all your letters of recommendations and watched all of you practice and spar, I've made my decision. Itachi and Shisui, I recommend you to practice a little bit more, I think you'll be ready when you're eleven. That gives you half a year. Izumi, you've been promoted. Please stay after they leave, I have some matters to discuss with you." Said the Hokage. We nodded, and as he waved them off, Itachi gave me a smile, and Shisui gave me a playful pout. After they left, he said, "Izumi. I know what happened, Orochimaru was my... Former student." My eyes widened, but I kept silent, not trusting my facade. "It's okay, nothing will happen to your family. You can be open with me."

Exhaling a sigh, I said, "Well, it's not like I could hide from the Hokage for long..."

He chuckled, then grew serious again. "Izumi, I would like you to demonstrate the abilities Orochimaru tried to give you."

"Well, I don't really practice using them much... Just sometimes the Sharingan."

"It's alright, just show me. Nothing's going to happen, and afterwards, I'll escort you to your ANBU place."

I nodded and muttered, "Shadow clone jutsu," and three clones appeared in front of me. Activating my Byakugan, I said, "Eight Trigrams- Sixty-Four Plams!" In visioning the Eight Trigrams circle, I hit my clone with a series of violent blows, stopping its chakra glow and crushing its internal organs. After I collaped, I was gone in a poof of smoke. Don't ask me how I knew that, though. It just seems that the powers and jutsus of that particular Dojutsu just becomes known to me. Next, I activated my Sharingan, and my eyes went red, with three tomes. Suddenly, my three tomes disappeared and it turned into... Something different. A Mangekyo Sharingan. The designs in my eyes consisted of a hexagonal flower shaped Sharingan, with intricate designs. I felt tired, but pressed on anyways. I put my other clone under an an Uchiha style genjutsu, and it also collapsed and poofed away, gone. For my last trick... I made some handsigns and said, "Wood Style- Dancing Wood Spikes!" In which several 'branches' of wood sprouted from my hands, each with super sharp tips. As my clone tried to dodge them, more and more wood grew out, and pierced my clone straight through the heart. I straightened up, and glanced at the Hokage for a sign approval.

"Amazing, Izumi! You are very special indeed. You won't have to fight other ANBU, now follow me so we can get your uniform." I obeyed, and walked behind him, through hallways and to the ANBU section. "Hey, what's your favorite anime?" He asked.

"Oh.. Well, a tiger, I guess." I mumbled, not expecting this. The Hokage nodded to a man behind a desk, who in turn gave me a tiger mask with black swirls for whiskers. "Thank you." I said. The man bowed his head down and returned to his place.

"We'll get your uniform, and get you a tattoo. After that you'll be done! Please remember to come here tomorrow at 7, and we'll jet your first mission. Be expectant for an assassination, not many people have the skill to do it cleanly, you're one of the few. Besides, I want you to meet two people, who'll be on your team too. Let's go, Izumi. We've got high expectations for you."

Time Skip- At home.

As I was making some snacks for Namiki, my father came in and said, "So you joined the ANBU, huh? Good job, sweetie. We're all so proud!"

"Oh, Izumi says thankie yous!" I grinned from the my side of the room.

"Izumi. This is important. Listen well, you might want to sit down for this one." I sat down and looked at him expectantly. "The mutiny.... It's real. The Uchiha clan and our clan are planning a coup d'etat. Now that you're an ANBU, it's your job to be our pipeline to the village. Tell no one. We will overthrow Konoha!"

Shocked, I choked out a "Yes,"

"That's my girl," my dad said before he left.

This... No. This can't be, what about the peace Itachi and I talked about? What about... My precious village? But... Namiki. My family. I already knew what would happen of I told the Hokage... And he wouldn't make exceptions, not for the Kimikoto clan. But it would save Konoha. If I worked with my family... The village would be destroyed. So I had to choose. My family or Konoha. After taking a few deeps breaths, tears fell from my eyes.

I chose... Konoha. Which means... I would be the one to kill my family. Namiki. To become rogue.. For Konoha. But since the Uchiha were involved, too... I would need some help. And the only one who could and would help was the person that I wanted to protect the most. The one I loved. (Right now... In a BFF way. Don't worry, it gets more romantic later! :P ) Uchiha Itachi.

I slowly took Namiki's snack bowl and headed upstairs. He would find out soon enough... Bit in the meanwhile, I wanted to spend as much limited time with Namiki as possible. And to let her know that her big sister loved her more than anything else in world. But it was also her big sister's duty to serve and protect their village. And that meant sacrifices. I'd let her know I'd love her forever... And that I'm so.. so sorry. My heart breaking, I entered Namiki's room, and before I knew it, she was hugging my legs and smiling her amazing smile. This is going to be hard...
