Chapter 18 : The Promise

"Jennie? Jennie where are you?"
I shouted on top of my lungs searching for her.

"Nini? Baby come here?"
I softly said as I approached the tiny figure on the corner.

"What's wrong baby? You can tell me.Come here! Come to unnie!"
I said as I slowly walked towards her but I immediately stopped in my tracks as the tiny figure which I assumed it to be Jennie started to fade away in the air.

"W-what is-"
I was cut off by a loud manly voice.

"Darkness takes over.!"

"Who is this? Who are you?"
I shouted as I keep searching for the owner of the voice.

"It will eventually take for the light!"
The voice once again spoke making me to shiver.

"Darkness takes over!"
The scary low voice spoke for the last time before I woke up!

"Jennie!!!"
I shouted as I got up and sat straight in the bed.

"W-what is t-this?"
I mumbled panting hard while sweats roll down from my face.

I turned my face to the other side of the bed and found it missing.

Where is Jennie?

"Jennie!"
I whispered as I got up from my embed and started searching for her.

"Jennie? Where are you? Jennie?"
I shouted heading towards, the kitchen.My heart beating fast.

And it was empty.

I couldn't utter a single word as I felt my heart sinking.

"Oh my God!"
I whispered to myself as I rushed to the other rooms.

The living room, the bathroom, the dressing room and the bedroom.

"Taehyung?"
I shouted as I entered to his room and to my surprise it was empty.

I was about to burst out crying but a small stick note came to my sight.

Noona and unnie Lis or whoever maybe reading this.

I'm going out to visit my sexy, pretty girlfriend.I actually thought to tell you both but I saw you sleeping peacefully so I didn't.

And btw the reason why I'm writing this is that my phone was dead so I couldn't send any message.

I threw the stick note as I didn't have any time to stand there reading the note.

I rushed towards the verandah but found it empty.

"Oh god Jennie where are you?"
I mumbled to myself as my tears started rolling down.

I ran towards the terrace as it was my only hope left.

I ran upstairs full speed and opened the door.

I scanned my eyes searching for Jennie shivering and there I saw her sitting down in the extreme corner while her head was hung low while her hands was wrapped around her legs.

I sighted in relief.

Tears still rolling down my face I slowly walked towards her.

"Jennie?"
I called out.

She immediately looked at me and there I saw her eyes red and puffy.

"What are you doing here Jennie?"
I softly said as I sat down beside her.

"Why are you crying?"
She mumbled as she wiped my tears from my face.

I sighted as I reached out for her hand and held it tight.

"What are you doing here?"
I calmly said trying not to panic.

She started at me for some seconds before she looked down avoiding my gaze.

I cupped her cheeks.
"You got that didn't you?"
I asked staring into her eyes.

"Yes."
She slightly nodded and hugged me.

I sighted sadly and hugged her back.

"I love you baby!"
I whispered.

"I know that"
She whispered back.

"Argh! Aren't you going to say it back?I groaned trying to lighten up the mood.

She remained silent and she hugged me tighter.
"I love you too!"

"Unnie why does it feel so strange?"
She suddenly questioned.

"Just forget about it Jen.Its just a simple nightmare.I'm always here!"
I said as I pulled out from the hug.

She was silent not very satisfied with my answer.

"Baby look at me!"
I cupped her cheeks.

"I love you and I promise you that I will never ever leave your side.Always remember that you are my top priority.I will always choose you no matter what.I will always protect you no matter how hard it maybe.I am always going to be a sister who protects and stays with her little sister.The world may try to break us down but I promise you from the bottom of my heart that I will stay strong.We will stay strong.Nothing will make us apart Jen.Nothing."
I said as a tear escaped my eyes.

"And I want us to promise something to each other now.Okay?"

"Okay!"

I squeezed her hand right before speaking.

"Lets promise each other that we will be strong no matter what tries to breaks us apart.That we will continue to love each other no matter what.Difficulties may come.They will come.Times may come when we will feel like giving up.But no! We won't give up.No matter we are next to each other or a million kilometres apart Jennie, promise me that we will be strong for ourselves, for each other, for our parents."
I looked into her eyes.

"Will you promise me this Jen?"

"Yes! I promise you unnie.I promise that I will be strong for us.!"
She said before flashing an assuring smile towards me.

"That's my girl!"
I hugged her tight not wanting to let go of this baby.

'Strange' is what I will address the things that me and Jennie are dreaming about.

Weeks have passed yet we are still getting nightmares.

I may not be able to stop the things waiting for us.

But I will be strong for Jennie.

And I will make it sure not to break the promise we made.

"We will make it sure not to break the promise unnie!"
Jen whispered to me.

I half heartedly smiled.

"Yes we will!"
