"Rasha."
I couldn't comprehend what he had said. Shock had filled my glass all the way up and overflowed the rims.
"What?" I asked again.
He looked up at me and nodded in shame. I couldn't believe what he'd said. Instead my questions becoming limited, they multiplied.
"Why?" I asked quietly. His face was filled with pain and a tear left his eye.
"I feel guilty," he murmured, "since I gave her up and felt selfish, I couldn't control myself and I ended up losing Rasha in the end."
His hands formed fists in his lap as he continued to weep. I scooted closer to him and brushed his hair out of his eyes, he looked at me with desperation. Pity swept through me.
"What were those selfish reasons?" I asked him.
"She reminded me of her." He finally said, forcefully.
Yeontan came up to me and nudged my foot, I smiled slightly and picked him up, he lovingly leaned his head on me and I threaded my fingers in his fur. I looked back up at Taehyung to see a little smile through his tears.
I had no idea who her was, but I figured he'd shared enough right now. Right now he needed to smile again.
"He really likes you." Taehyung chuckled. He wiped his tears and it seemed as though he was never crying at all.
I smiled. "Does he?"
"Yeah," he replied. "He usually doesn't kin to strangers, but it seems he has a feeling about you."
"You just rescued him a few days ago," I said, laughing, "how can you be so sure already of how he is with strangers?"
"I had to let him outside to play eventually." He told me, pouting a bit. "And students are always around campus, so it was pretty easy to tell. He usually barks and pitches all kinds of fits."
I laughed. "Okay then, maybe he does like me."
The rain had summoned up quite the storm, and it began to thunder. I opened the window curtain with worried eyes.
"How am I going to get out of here?" I asked myself as lightening had struck in the distance.
Taehyung looked out the window as well. He then said, "Stay with me."
My eyes widened as I closed the curtains and looked at his expression, searching for any kind of humor. Though he seemed serious.
"I'll get in trouble if I do that Taehyung!" I told him. Yeontan looked up at me with a small whine.
"He can sense your unease." Said Taehyung simply. When I didn't look away, his eyes glinted with reassurance. "I can explain it all to the councilors, I'll call them and they'll understand. Not to mention I've got a clean slate. Don't worry about it."
I was surprised by his sudden behavior of kindness. But I didn't wish to bother him at all.
"I won't be a burden, will I?"
"Not at all. Besides, I could use the company. Based on how I am, I'm sure you know that I wouldn't be around anyone anyway."
I nodded, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. When it picked up he explained the situation and asked for permission.
As he was talking I was observing his words. He was beyond slick with them, that's for sure. It was hard not to listen to him and his voice was soft and loving. I began to wonder if that was how he was able to get a dog here.
He nodded and said "thank you", hung up, then looked at me.
"They will allow it." He said with a smile.I felt my heart flutter when he looked at me with the smile. He looked so. . .loved. As if he had never been upset.
My eyes widened as I recalled a memory.
