Amelia POV:
I was in the office in the middle of the night going over our land trying to come up with a better way to stop rogues from coming on our land.
The alarm we have that goes off when someone crosses our land that is not a part of our pack is useful, but it doesn't always go off like it's supposed to.
Before I was able to come up with an idea the alarm went off. I guess that stupid thing is trying to prove me wrong or something. I called for my Beta and Delta.
"Yes Alpha?"
They said at the same time while walking into my office. "The alarm went off go check and see what is going on and fix it."
Once the order was given they both went running out of my office and calling for some of our warriors.
I have been more stressed and down lately since it's been past the point for me to find my mate. I was supposed to find my mate when I turned 17, but I am now 25 years old and my mate is still nowhere to be found.
Sorry for the rudeness I have just been talking about my problems and you don't know who I am. My name is Amelia Davis, I'm 25 years old. I am the Alpha of the Silver Lake pack. We are the strongest pack alive which is why I don't see why rogues always try to start trouble on my land.
I heard footsteps coming toward my office and not long after there was a knock at the door.
"Come in," I yelled to the person on the other side of the door wishing I never told the person to come in.
"Alpha Davis is there anything I can get you?"
I swear I am ready to snap this girl's neck. Every time my Beta and Delta are out handling business she takes it as a sign to throw herself at me.
"Alexis there is nothing I need from you," I growled at her.
"Come on Amelia you haven't found your mate in all these years what makes you think he/she will show up now?"
I pushed myself away from my desk and walked over to her and gripped her neck with my bare hand. "I told you over more than once that I will never give myself to someone that has been with almost the whole pack. Now get your ass out of my office and you will address me as Alpha."
"Yes, Alpha." She said before running out of my office.
"Alpha?"
I heard my Beta trying to get through the mind link. "Go ahead."
"There is another werewolf on our land, but she doesn't smell like a rogue or like she belongs to any pack we know."
"Bring her back and put her into one of the cells." After I got the yes Alpha from her I cut the link between us.
I need to find out what pack this wolf is from and return her to where she came from. I don't need more werewolves in this pack.
I sniffed the air because I felt a small change in the air and Ally my wolf was going crazy about this change.
Sitting back down at my desk and going back over the land seeing where I could put more guards. I notice a space on the map where a guard should be. Maybe that's how they keep getting on my land.
I sent a message out to the guards telling them about the space I want to be covered and to figure out who's going to cover it.
"Alpha, she's in the cell where you wanted me to put her." Knowing that it's my Beta that walked in without knocking I just nodded my head.
"May I take her food? It looks as if she has not eaten in days or weeks."
"Go ahead, I'll be down in a few." She bowed her head and left out of my office.
I don't know why I was taking my time to go see who this werewolf is, but something was telling me that I needed to go now, I just couldn't get myself to leave out of this office.
"Amelia, go now." My wolf whined.
"Why are you in a rush for me to go to the girl?"
"I just have a feeling we need to be there with her."
"Did you just growl at me?"
She didn't say anything, and I knew once she didn't say anything she wasn't going to say anything until I did what she asked.
I looked at the clock and it's already 2 A.M. I let her wait long enough.
I left out of my office and went toward the dungeon where the cells are at. I sniffed the air once again and the most amazing scent hit my nose when I open the door.
"Hurry Amelia." She whimpered.
Shaking my head, I headed down the steps passing every guard with a head bowed.
Stopping in front of the cell that had the smell I was after. MATE!
I just stared at her, she was so small and the look of fear in her eyes broke my very own heart.
"Why are you here?" I hated I had to put my Alpha voice on.
She moved to the other side of the cell and pulled her knees up to her chest and whimpered.
"Open the door," I told the guard that was standing outside the cell door.
When the door was open I walked in and up to her bending down, so I was at eye level with her.
"Why have you crossed our land?" I questioned more but with a softer tone in my voice.
She opened her mouth, but nothing came out but a whimpered. She pointed to her throat and I was left confused.
"I'm going to get you out of this cell and allow you to take a warm bath. May I lift you?"
Once she nodded her head I lifted her and headed up the stairs toward my room. The sparks that were going through my body felt amazing and I just wanted to keep her in my arms, but it felt like I was the only one who felt the sparks, and that brought sadness to my heart.
