Amelia POV:
I was amazed at how I was able to tell Ella about my parents. After everything happened, I try not to talk about my parents. It still hurts to even think about them, finding my mother like that was the only thing that played in my head for a while.
I looked up from my food when I felt Ella staring at me.
"Yes, my love?"
"Are you okay?"
I gave her a confused looked and tilt my head to the side trying to understand why she asked me that. Soon after she reached her hand over and wiped under my eyes, and now I know why she asked me that. I didn't know I was crying.
"Never talked about them since it happened. I was even surprised that I remember the story like it was yesterday."
"I'm sorry I asked you to tell me about them."
I couldn't help the smile that played across my face. I took her hand in mine and placed a soft kiss on it.
"It's okay my love, I'm happy I was able to tell you about them."
We finish eating and I paid for the bill. As we walked out of the restaurant, I noticed that she was rubbing on her arms and I took my jacket off, placing it around her.
I opened the door for her and closed it behind her before going over to my side of the car. I started the car and head back toward the woods.
The music played softly in the car and she looked out the window the whole time. It didn't take me long to make it to the part of the woods I was taking us.
I parked the car and opened her door helping her get out of the car.
"What are we doing now?"
"I wanted us to go for a run, but I know you can't shift at the moment, so I was hoping we can go for a walk."
She nodded her head and grabbed onto my arm.
The walk was slow, we just enjoyed the night sky and the full moon shining down on us. Where I was leading us to, wasn't much farther away and I was starting to get nervous the closer we got there.
A few more steps and we were stepping inside this beautiful meadow that I had found a few years ago. The waterfall was going and sending off a cool breeze. The lake was gorgeous with the full moon reflecting off it.
I turned to look at her and I can see that she was in awe. I smiled at how cute she looked while looking at the meadow.
I told myself I wouldn't come back here until I found my mate and I stuck to my word.
"Amelia, this is so beautiful."
"I found it a few years ago."
I let go of her hand and took a few steps back so that I was able to get a better view of her and the meadow. She made it look even more beautiful.
With one last deep breath, I cleared my throat to get her attention. When she turned around, she had a confused look on her face
"Ella, I know things are moving fast with us. I know that I almost lost you for good, but I was glad you gave me the chance to fight for you. That 1 month without being in the same house as you, drove me insane. I couldn't sleep without you and I couldn't focus on my work, all I wanted was to be with you."
I can feel the tears building up, but I needed to finish.
"I can't see my life without you, the twins, or our unborn pup. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you, Ella, will you marry me?"
