Ella POV:
I didn't move after she had picked me up and carried me out of the cell that I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life in. I was very thankful that she was allowing me to have a warm bath.
Once we were out of the dungeon she headed to some more stairs and up to a room that had her scent all over it. She smelled like cherries and the rain forest. I like the smell of the rain forest, I was able to smell it from the room I had back in the Moon Red pack.
She sat me down on top of the sink and started running the bathwater. I was more than thankful to her for allowing me to take a bath because I truly needed one.
I tapped her shoulder and spelled out thank you with my fingers. That was the only thing I picked up on when I was trying to learn sign language.
She looked confused at what I was trying to say to her and I used my hand and fingers trying to ask for a pen and paper. Soon she picked up on it and went and got what I asked for.
I wrote down what I wanted to say. "Thank you for letting me have a bath and sorry for coming onto your land I just had to get away."
"You're more than welcome and what were you trying to get away from?"
I stared at her for a minute not being sure if I can trust her with anything, I sat the paper and pen down not wanting to write anymore.
"It's okay you don't have to tell me now, but I would like to know what is after you, so I can make sure my pack stays safe."
I nodded my head and started getting undressed to get into the bath.
"Um, I'll be out there when you're ready to get out."
Her cheeks were turning red and her eyes were jumping from two different colors. I nodded my head and got into the tub.
I didn't want to take long in here, so I just relax for a few minutes and washed my body and hair with the shampoo and soap she gave me.
Once I was done I looked around for a big towel to wrap myself in. I found one and it had her scent on it, I took a big sniff before wrapping it around myself. I walked out of the bathroom to find her sitting on the couch that was inside her room.
"Y-your done already?"
I nodded my head and just stood there not knowing what to do because I didn't have anything to put on.
"Oh, um here you can wear one of my T-shirts and some shorts for the night."
I thanked her and head back into the bathroom to put on the clothes she just gave me. I'm still a little confused as to why she is being so nice to a wolf who crossed her land. If my wolf was here she'll be able to tell me.
I haven't heard my wolf for the last year and I have been feeling empty without her. She was the only one I had to talk to and out of nowhere she just left me.
Once I was done putting on the clothes I walked out of the bathroom making sure to grab the pen and paper.
I wrote on the paper telling her I'm ready to go back to my cell now.
"You don't have to go back to that cell, you can sleep in here."
Why would this Alpha give up her bed for a wolf she doesn't even know?
I gave her a small smile and walked over to the bed climbing into it and getting under the covers. If she is giving me her bed where is she going to sleep?
As if she can read my mind I heard her speak, "I'm going to sleep on the couch over there, wake me if you need anything."
I nodded my head and got comfortable in the bed and not long after I was off to sleep.
~~~
For some odd reason, I couldn't stay asleep, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like something was missing.
I pulled the covers off me and looked over to see that the Alpha was still asleep. I got out of bed and walked over to the couch and tap her shoulder lightly not wanting to wake her up.
Her eyes snapped open, but they weren't her normal green eyes they were more like forest green.
"How can I help you, my love?"
I jumped back when she spoke and the voice I was hoping for wasn't the voice I had gotten. I know when the human is awake the wolf can take over their body, but I never knew they can do it while their human is sleeping.
"Um, where's the Alpha?" I wrote it down on the notepad.
"Well, I'm right here... Oh, you meant my human?"
Her voice had a sad tone and her eyes held sadness as well, I never wanted to make this wolf sad.
"Well, I can talk with you since she is sleeping." I wrote it down.
She smiled and honestly that smiled made my heart jumped, I smiled back at her and sat on the end of the couch that her feet weren't touching.
"How come you don't speak? I would love to hear what your voice sounds like."
"I'm not sure I'm ready to tell that yet, I'm not even sure what is going to happen to me once the sunrise." I passed her the notepad.
"Since you're not ready to tell me that why don't you tell me why you're up?"
"I couldn't sleep and for some reason, I feel safe being right here."
That's how the next few hours went with her talking and me passing her the notepad to answer her back.
I enjoyed the last few hours of talking with her it was the most I had smiled since my mother died.
"You should get some rest before everyone gets up."
I nodded my head and laid in front of her on the couch with my head on her chest. Sleep came easy when I laid next to her.
