Chapter 10

Ella POV:

After Amelia had found a speech teacher, she had become busy and leaving me to learn how to use my voice again. Honestly, I wanted her to stay with me the whole time, but I knew she had things to do even though it's only been a week since I had been learning.

"Okay, Ella, we are going to start with some small words and try to get your voice used to saying them."

I nodded my head and listen to her say the words. Trying my hardest to say them as she did, but that didn't turn out great. The only thing that came out was a squeak that scared me.

"That's okay, try again."

I took in a deep breath and listen to Ms. Williams speak again.

"Al-pha. Alpha."

"Yes, Ella, you did it. Say it again."

I couldn't help the big smile that came across my face when I spoke the word Alpha. We continue to say more words and moved on to saying full sentences.

When I was done with the speech for the day, I went to Amelia's office where I knew she'll be. I missed her all day and couldn't wait to take in her scent. Without knocking I opened the door and seen her sitting at her desk with a lot of papers over it.

Her head popped up and a smile broke across her face.

"There you are, my love. How did it go."

I gave a thumbs up and went and sat in her lap wrapping my arms around her taking in her amazing scent.

I wonder if I should wait to learn how to use my voice better or show her how much I have learned to use it.

Without thinking I spoke, "Th-ank you, my Alpha."

I unwrap my arms from around her and looked into her eyes. She looked shocked. Oh, fuck, I think I broke my mate.

Waving my hand in front of her face and still nothing, shit...Maybe I should have waited.

There was a knock on the door and then it open, coming in was Isla. She looked at me then Amelia.

"What is wrong with her?"

"I-I think I broke her."

Isla's eyes popped open wide and she just stared at me. Fuck why is everyone going into shock?

"Ella! You spoke?!"

I nodded my head and turned back toward Amelia who still hasn't come from her shock. I shook her and slap her, not too hard but enough to bring her back.

"Ella, you spoke?!"

"Yes"

She hugged me tight, maybe a little too tight.

"Amelia, c-ant breathe."

"I'm sorry my love, I'm excited that you're finally using your voice again. Ally is excited as well."

I leaned in and kissed her lips, folding her lips into mine before pushing my tongue into her mouth wrapping my tongue around hers.

For some reason this kiss took my breath away, it was as if this kiss had so much meaning behind it without needing words.

We broke the kiss and I laid my head in the crook of her neck.

"Um, I'm still here guys."

My face started heating up and I tried to push my face more into her neck. Amelia chuckled and wrapped her arms around me while turning toward Isla.
