I arrived back to the apartment, running to the kitchen counter, putting the bags on top, as they were too heavy, I think I bought too many cartons of orange juice, oops.

I emptied the contents of bag, laying all the food out on counter, deciding what goes where. I put some stuff in the fridge and some things in cupboard.

I had completely forgotten that I haven't had breakfast, my stomach started to rumble again, making me look for something to have.
I checked the time, it was early in the afternoon, which means I skipped breakfast, I just moved on to lunch.

I searched the fridge, contemplating what to make, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to eat, but I finally decided on some mac & cheese that you only had to put in the microwave.

While the food was heating up, I went into my bedroom, changing back into some sweatpants and a all time low t-shirt, seeing as I wasn't going anywhere, I didn't have the need to dress up. A loud noise came from the kitchen, it made me jump slightly, but I realised what it was and ran to get it, not wanting another incident like this mornings one.

I grabbed the container out of the microwave, pouring it out into a plate and taking a fork.
I poured myself a glass of orange juice, seeing as I had too much of it.

I brought my food over to the couch with me, sitting down and crossing my legs so that I could balance my place on my legs.

I turned on the tv, flicking through all the channels, trying to find
something good to watch. I don't watch actual television much, I prefer Netflix and websites like that. I quickly switched over to Netflix, knowing it had a good selection of things to watch, eating portions of my food as
I searched for a movie.

After two movies, I was really tired, not being able to keep my eyes open or my body awake for any longer. I checked the time, hoping it was later than it probably was.

5:26
New message.

I stared at my phone, trying to make out the notification on my screen,
my eyes were blurry from tiredness.
Hoping it was just a text from Sarah or family, I swiped the notification, putting my password in.

Geoff: I'm panicking. I haven't told Awsten yet, but he knows something is wrong.
Can you come over?

I stared at my screen in confusion, wondering who Awsten was and what happened to him. This could have been who Geoff was talking about.
I would have been less confused if I wasn't so tired, I'd say it took me an hour to finally figure out who Awsten was.

When I realised, I basically tossed my phone in the air, panicking too,
the tiredness left my body and for some odd reason I felt as though I had all the energy in the world. The message wasn't sent to long ago, only a few minutes, thankfully I saw it when I did.

Hazel: Yeah I'll be over now, send me your address.

I leaped from the couch, I looked down at what I was wearing, I decided to keep what I had on, I didn't care that much, Geoff needed me, now.

Almost immediately Geoff texted me back, sending me his location and telling me to take my time.

I grasped my car keys, frantically running out of the door, not listening to Geoff and taking my time.
I'm not sure why I'm so panicked
and worried, I guess I just want to be there for Geoff when he needs the help.
That's what friends are for, right?
