Background: Lance has been flirting with a man named Keith who regularly comes there. He finds out they have common friends. He talks to Pidge, Hunk, and Matt only to find out something about his friend and get rejected for now

"Vanilla Latte for Keith!" Lance yells above the average chatter of the coffee shop. He sees Keith walk towards him and waits while Keith grabs his drink. Keith glances at the cup and notices his name is spelt "Keef" with some doodles next to it.

"Keef? That's pretty cute." He rolled his eyes but inside he was smiling at the drawings and the nickname. He was happy he got to finally talk to the hot barista.

"Yup, just like you." He smiled at Keith fondly when he laughed and blushed.

"Yeah sure," his voice dripped with sarcasim. "Anyway, thank you. This made my day. See you next time?"

"Absolutely."

And that's how their meetings went. Lance would give him a new name everytime. There was knife. And emo. And when Keith wore his hair up, pineapple. And now, he wrote queen on his cup.

Keith approached the counter and grabbed his drink. He turned it around to see the name written on it this time. His face turned red once he read the name.

"Queen!?"

"Yeah, can't you read?" Lance teasingly asked. He was really nervous to write that, but he was running out of ideas and now was just as good as later.

Keith placed his drink down and mentally prepared himself. Red faced and stuttering, Keith came back with a remark. "I-if I'm a queen, then you're god." He was feigning confidence he really did not have. Flirting was not his strong suit, but I mean, it's Lance. So Keith was willing to try for him.

Lance's face turned red as he grabbed Keith's drink from where he placed it during the conversation. He ignores Keith's protests and walks to the back. He grabs a pen and writes his number on the top. He returns to a pouting Keith with his drink.

"Sorry, I forgot to add something."

"Its okay." Keith hadn't noticed the number sprawled next to his doodles. "I gotta go, see you later Lance!"

"Bye Queen!"

Keith finished his drink and brought it to his bathroom, where he rinsed it out and placed it in a stack with the other ones. He looked over the drawings until he noticed the phone number under the silly drawing of a royal family. 'Text me anytime' was written in small delicate letters next to the number.

He added the number to his phone, deciding to text Lance later.

Lance would run to his phone everytime he got a notification, hoping Keith had seen his number and would text him. Bored and losing hope, Lance opened the group chat with his friends in it.
