Background: Keith is a werewolf unbeknownst to his friends. Lance is curious when Keith mysteriously leaves his dorm room every 29 days. He soon finds out the truth.
Note: the moon cycle is 29.5 days
About a week ago Lance returned to his dorm room to see that his roommate Keith was gone once again. He usually is gone at least once a month, and Lance was getting suspicious. So that's why Lance was there, hiding in the bushes, staring at a transforming Keith. He was shocked, but determined to find out what happened. He moved a little and Keith's head snapped back towards him. His eyes glowed yellow in the dim light and dog-like ears sprouted from his head. Keith slowly walked towards him. Careful not to startle him, Lance stood up. "Keith, it's me. Don't be scared." Keith froze in place. Then a low whine arose from his throat, and he shrunk down in his spot. Lance slowly approaches Keith. Keith falls to his knees and buries his face in his lap. "Hey Keith, it's alright." Keith finally speaks up, moving his face from his lap.
"Do you hate me?" His voice was deep and rough, yet sounded vulnerable. Even in this state, the face he was making made Lance's heart speed up. He sat down next to Keith and wrapped his arms around him.
"Of course not. You're still my Keith." Keith buried his head in Lance's neck and let out choked sobs.
"I hate being like this. I hate it so so much." Lance rubbed Keith's back and ears to calm him down. Keith stopped crying and clung desperately to Lance's shirt. Keith spent the night outside on that hill with Lance until he turned back to normal. They walked tiredly back to their dorm room. Lance and Keith skipped class and went to bed, embraced in each other's arms. Lance promised that he would not tell anyone about what happened. He also said that Keith was able to stay at the dorm and not go outside.
Keith's 'problem' started the relationship that was soon to come.
