My second time writing this cause Wattpad is being a little bitch today
The paladins had been excited about this day for months. It was finally time to see their families again. After all that time in space, Lance couldn't wait to see his mamá. His whole family.
He jumped out of his lion as soon as it touched down near his old home. He didn't brother knocking or being nervous and ran in the door.
"Mamá, estoy en casa!" he walked around the house trying to find anyone of his family. He finally settled for sitting on the couch. A layer of dust was disrupted from its resting place and he coughed to clear the air from his lungs.
He sat on that couch for hours and no one came home. He left the house and went back to the castle. The whole team was there. They were huddled around Pidge and talking to her in soothing voices.
"Hey Pidge, what's wrong?" Lance asked as he came in.
"Good, you're all here," Coran said as he approached the group. "Sadly, I have some news for you all. You all studied at the Garrison, right?" They all nodded. "Well then you would know that in space, traveling at the speed of light is slower than time on Earth. That explains why you are still alive and your families are not. I'm so sorry and I'll be here for you if you need me." He turned around and walked out. Coran's heart burst when he heard the noise Lance made. It sounded like someone punched him in the ribs while he was crying. He sunk to the ground and pounded it with his fist. He cried until he couldn't breathe, and then some. And everyone was too upset to help him. They lost their families too. Well, except Keith. But he didnt really have a family or the social skills to handle this. So he left the room. Lance couldnt believe it, that his family had died, the only thing that got him through hard times was waiting to see them. He couldn't take it. He felt like his heart was going to explode. It was so painful. Maybr there was something actually wrong.
Lance clutched his chest and fell completely to the floor. After a trip to the hospital and some more heartbreaking news, the team found out he had died from a heart attack,
and that this day could only get worse
I'll make a better version of this later, i have a 12 hour car ride in 2 days
