"Brier?"
Zindel immediately turned to face the woman in question, a grin forming on his face. Brier gave the man a gentle chuckle, her short but comely figure approaching his cheerful facade.
"What are you doing here?"
"Joha said that she received a message from the abyss of Earth and sent me here immediately, while she and Isaac went to the Land of Oblivion. You are to explain the situation."
Zindel nodded in approval but needed to ask a question first.
"What about the Shadow-Trappers on Earth? Are they safe?"
Brier's eyes moved towards the ground, shame reflecting in their green shine.
"Joha, Isaac and I helped all of them settle in the abyss of Earth. I created a protective atmospheric dome around it so that nature would protect them. I'm not sure if that is enough, though."
Zindel gave Brier a reassuring smile, speaking confidently.
"It is a little surprising that the abyss let all of them into it, even if their lives are at stake. But you've done good, so don't worry about it. No harm from the outside world can reach the abyss since it is the limitless inside world of thoughts. As long as they stay away from the core, they will be fine."
Brier nodded, her face relaxing a little. She then gestured for Zindel to inform her of the happenings and Zindel did so, not missing any detail other than the six seeing the Shadow Dimension.
"I think Joha already knows about this. She will bring the spectrum the moment that container opens. We just have to make our choices here carefully."
"It's not safe for them to be there. I mean, Vlad is probably beside them."
"Don't forget that Joha can excellently mask her presence through her practice of illusions and that Isaac has the protection of Shadows. With his ability they will be able to come here faster than normal.
"Have faith in them."
Zindel nodded, sighing before he gave the container an annoyed look, in a humorous fashion, of course. A thoughtful silence passed before the man spoke again.
"We have two options. Attempt to open the container with the sphere in the state of the spectrum here and let Joha and Isaac destroy darkness there while we secure the spectrum in another safe here. This has a higher probability of both the states being out of Vlad's reach but also has a higher probability of Vlad gaining darkness. Also, Joha and Isaac will be in imminent danger.
"The second option is this: Attempt to open the container with the sphere in the state of darkness while you destroy it immediately. Joha and Isaac will have to bring the spectrum here so that we can lock it away for a long time. This has the best probability of darkness not coming in Vlad's grasp and Joha and Isaac will be safer, sort of. Although this also increases the entity chances of getting the spectrum."
Brier thought on it for a while, understanding her preference quickly.
"I think the second option is better. Besides, Mildred and the others can deviate Vlad's path in the Shadow Dimension so that he misses his exact exit point. I am certain that she will be aware of your thoughts."
Oh, Zindel thought in almost smug tone. She definitely will.
"It's decided then."
Zindel put on a confident expression and turned towards the container. He shifted into a climate of immense concentration, recognising the box and what lay inside. The sphere held an erudite aura of substantial measure, passing a wave of intrigue and satisfaction through Zindel. Some time passed before Zindel was able to collect all of the information. Only few matters amazed him as much as this did.
