A gentle cry resonated within Zoey's mind, the beginning of a life pleasing for the Shadow. Nothing surrounded her, but still she could feel the presence, something taken out of a moment in time.

A comforting aura played with the cry, silencing the innocent being. White light flooded the Shadow's surroundings, sharing her positive energy and breathing life into the living beings.

Zoey felt their time pass by, an illusionary measure that existed for their understanding. Gleeful feelings were around her, the joys of early life pleasing the Shadow. A gentle wind's soughing accompanying the delighted resonance of the Beings. Zoey didn't wonder why she felt what she did, for all she wished was for the living to live.

The sensation gradually lulled away, with a little darkness settling over the shadow's head. The sound faded with the appearance of a number of smiles, though an odd sensation tugged on Zoey's thoughts. It was as if what was before her was a false image, the light fluctuating as if the photons were continuously being transported back and forth between expressions of joy and expressions of sorrow.

What was true, was a useless question, for both were illusions.  Still, they mattered. They mattered to the life, and Zoey was disheartened.

The blue stories were now being painted before the Shadow's sight, each stroke increasing the burden of emotions. A sense of chaos was around the Shadow, even the chaos was muted by her adamant nature, her wish for life.

"You will all overcome this. It is the way of life. Be alone, understand yourself in these moments, and you shall come out with wisdom. That is how true learning is done."

The comforting notion settled in the Living Creatures' hidden spots, an enlightening darkness being casted over them. The muted chaos burst into an echoing noise for the briefest moment, spreading absolute despair through life.

Then came the calming wind, settling their empty minds in a state of introspection. That burst of chaos had destroyed the negativity, and while they wouldn't be 'happy forever', they learnt a great deal from that harsh awakening. Bitter emotions were necessary to understand life and move ahead.

Zoey now wondered why she sensed what she did.

"Even existence has a life, and life must overcome these entropic moments. Just as the sudden despair, that dawn of realisation was needed to push away the negative feelings, something has to be done to sort nature's entropy. If left undisturbed, it will only increase and increase until destruction occurs.

"Let nature live life, too. It is the supreme form of life, after all."

Zoey remained silent, unsure of what to say. The fear she felt for the living beings was unreal, but it was now that she began to understand.

Vlad feared for the Shadow Beings in the same manner.

The hasty thoughts of the Shadow cane to a pause, the gentlest of all breezes moving through her thoughts. The darkness subsided as light existed once again, each photon, each particle existing because of Zoey's will of existence.

"It must be overcome, Vlad. This entropy too has to be overcome by all of us together. Destruction does not solve the problem."

"Nature is destroying itself, right now. Just as the emotions of living creatures destroy them, entropy will destroy nature."

"Nature isn't just life, it is the purest form of life. Why do you think us Shadow Beings are here? To preserve that purity."

"There is no purity, only a true form. You have lost yours, and it is for a reason, I know. You chose to leave that form and you will choose again, all to help the universe.

"Let's help nature."

Silence pervaded, a wavering feeling in the Being's thoughts. Zoey reached out to the vessel, specifically ailing the emotion within it. Her fears had released and for a moment, the emotion felt protected.

"You are right, Vlad. We have to help nature. The difference is that you fear the time, and we respect the time."

The Shadow expressed no emotion and only a peace of comfort, a gesture appreciated by the Being. The fear did not miraculously disappear, but Zoey faced her own and Vlad accepted his.

"If you were to ever kill a Demonic Creature, how would you feel?"

The question took Zoey by surprise, but the Shadow showed no hesitation while answering.

"For a Shadow of Life to take someone else's life... it is the most horrendous sin, simply put. It would weigh heavy on my conscience and perhaps I would want to forget it, but I hope that it serves as a lesson for me and I never have to commit such a misdeed again."

The words settled in the Being's mind, something to perhaps be used again in the far future. Vlad wished to understand life and recognise the emotions of life; it confused him, what he thought of life. Perhaps he hated life, he didn't truly know. But in that moment, he was happy to be along life's side.

The next thought was heavy, but it echoed gently to the Being's mind.

"I'm sorry, Vlad."
