After carrying her from the elevator into his apartment despite her protests, Kyuhyun gently placed Misa down on the couch in his living room, arranging the throw pillows behind her back. Zhoumi, who’d been hovering around them since they’d entered the room, propped her feet up using another pillow. “Good?” he asked her, looking a bit worried.

She nodded her thanks. “Tell me again why I’m here and not at my house?” she asked, turning towards her fiancée.

Kyuhyun sighed. “Your parents couldn’t leave the bakery when you got discharged this morning,” he explained again, “and they didn’t want to leave you home by yourself. So they asked if I’d bring you here and keep an eye on you until they could take you home.”

She raised an eyebrow at him. “What, am I five?” she protested.

“Dumpling, be serious,” Zhoumi scolded, hands on his slender hips. “You were attacked and mauled by crazy fanboys; you could’ve been more seriously hurt!”

“So, instead of being attacked by them, you bring me here to get attacked and mauled by Kyuhyun?” she joked, straight-faced.

Both men glared at her, frowning, which made her inwardly cringe. “It’s nothing to joke about, angel!” Kyuhyun insisted. “Or did you forget you were knocked out in the middle of an impromptu mosh pit?”

“How can I forget when I have the bruises, plus you and Kimchi to remind me?” she answered, dryly.

Kyuhyun opened his mouth to retort, when they were interrupted by the apartment’s front door suddenly bursting open.

Seven men (Donghae in the lead, followed closely by Eunhyuk, Ryeowook, Shindong, Hankyung, Kibum and Siwon) rushed in, their footsteps thundering against the hardwood floors. Almost immediately, the seven pairs of eyes zeroed in on the semi relaxed girl on the couch. Misa smiled as they surrounded her, shooting off question after question at her.

“I’m fine!” she found herself repeating after each question. “Really, oppas! I’m fine!” The boys of Super Junior, however, weren’t convinced and continued to ask questions.

“Why didn’t you tell us you were coming home early from your vacation?” Donghae demanded, frowning fiercely at her. “You should have told us; now look at what happened!” He gestured towards her bandages.

“Hae, I-“ Misa protested, but was immediately interrupted.

“What did they do to you?!” Ryeowook wailed, his arms flapping wildly. Misa was a bit disturbed to see he had tears in his eyes. “Does it still hurt?”

“Wookie, I’m fine!” she insisted. “Still a bit sore, but, I’m fine!” She held out her hand for his, which he quickly took and she squeezed it reassuringly; it only made him burst into tears.
