Percy's POV

Everything was going perfectly. I was waiting in a cave about a mile from the Academy. The sun would be going down soon and I was ready to attack at any given moment. Attack to kill. Up till now, I had been watching Evangelista and Eden roam around campus, laughing and chattering away. From here, it seemed like she was just a normal teenager but today was her turn to patrol the grounds along with some other guardians, Rhydian included. This was going to be too easy... if she let it. I felt my anger fume when Rhydian joined them and wrapped his hand around Evangelista's waist. She didn't even whack him away like she did when I did that. She simply laughed and... kissed his cheek with a bright smile.

That was all I really needed. That little bit of anger to fuel my work. My plan. And soon enough, not even an hour later, there she was. All alone. Her pretty ginger curls tied up in a ponytail and stake tucked away in her holster. From afar, I saw her Rhydian stand with the same stance, over a mile away. Good. There was no way he could save her now. There was no way anyone could save her now. With my newly enhanced speed, I was behind her the second the school administration took down the wards. I knew I only had a few minutes before they redrew them, rendering me unable to enter so I attacked.

I grabbed her neck from the back, knowing it would surprise her. Her hand quickly flew to the stake but I gripped her arm so tightly that she dropped her it, crying out in pain. She tried using her feet to kick me away but it was useless. She had been caught off guard and I had her neck, a big advantage. But that didn't stop her from giving up. She began to try to wriggle out of my grasp but that made me make my grip on her neck and already bruised arm a lot tighter. Soon, she gave up, severely out of breath and panting hard as she tried to pry my hands off. Why'd she have to make this so hard. I hit her over the head with the stake and knocked her out, catching her before she fell to the ground.

I began running again, hearing the "SHWOOP" noise of the warding going back up. I had to get away. Soon, Rhydian would be able to abandon his post and would surely set off to find his girl. Not to mention my obvious disappearance and dislike of them would make all fingers point in my direction. But it didn't matter. I had her. I had Evangelista.

Evangelista's POV

When I woke up, I realized I had a major headache. Like a pounding like someone hit me. My vision was still fuzzy as I sat up. Slowly, everything began to come into focus. Then I remembered. I was patrolling the edge of the academy grounds as practice when I was attacked... by something. I was hit on the head and brought here. But where was here? Where was I? I looked around and realized I was alone in an empty basement. I sighed. I was such a bad guardian! Eden would never be safe with me as her primary guardian. Even with Rhydian's help, I was going to be practically useless if I kept this up

My thoughts were interrupted as I heard footsteps coming closer. I quickly laid back down, pretending to be asleep. If I wanted to get out of here, I needed to be in okay shape. I wouldn't be able to make it anywhere with a sprained ankle or broken arm. I heard a loud slam as the door was thrown open and banged against the wall behind it. "GET UP! I know you're awake. I can smell your fear." I couldn't help it when my eyes shot open. Why was that voice so familiar? I slowly sat up and looked in the direction of the voice, trying to see who had spoken. Percy? Percy Jackson? My mouth fell open when I saw his eyes, red like blood. He was Strigoi?

Percy POV

I could see the fear and confusion in her eyes. She was terrified. Good. In less than a second after she spoke I was in front of her. I slapped her hard and left a large red mark on her face. "Shut up bitch. You're going do as I tell you and you're not going to talk unless I tell you to. You're lucky you're still alive...for now. After you left me for Rhydian. You are going to pay for what you've done. You are going to suffer."

I could see she was shocked. "Oh, and one more thing." Before she could realize what was happening I bit into her neck and she cried out in pain that soon softened to a moan. When she pushed closer I pulled away as I savored the taste of her sweet blood. "That is going to be your main use around here. Behave and maybe I won't kill you right away." Then I walked out the door and locked it leaving her inside still high off my bite. Evangelista. My personal blood bag.
