Evangelista's POV

I had finally reached the end of the tunnel and I opened the door, tumbling inside but landing on my feet. My crutches came in after me and Lissa helped me in as I heard Percy throw out the most taunting remarks. Looking at Lissa, I really felt bad for her. She had obviously been crying and her mascara was running. Rose didn't look too good either. But the worst had to be Eden. She was shaking from crying and was huddled in a corner.

"Edie, don't cry." I said as I knelt down in front of her, wrapping her in a hug. I grunted in pain as I sat down. My bad leg still was practically useless but I had to fix Eden's condition. "Stop it! Get up! You're gonna get more hurt!" She yelled as she quickly got up and helped me up too. "My life doesn't matter. It's not as half as important as yours." I said as she was about to reply at how Moroi and Dhampir values were twisted as she usually did. "No, don't say anything. I should be the one protecting you. I shouldn't be burdening Rose with protecting you too."

Just then I heard Percy say something about being bored and wanting to finish this. Fearing the worst I told them to hide in a corner next to the tunnels. Rose and I stood on either side of the door and waited for Percy's foot to break through it. He began counting aloud. "One! Two!" He began. Getting the stake ready on the bow string I waited for him to say 'Three'. And when he finally did I saw Lissa and Eden both cry out in fear as the door came flying inwards, Percy following it.

I had so many questions like, how he had gotten past all the guardians? I knew I had no choice but to worry about that later but it still irked me. I could feel my anger rising as he started toward Lissa and Eden. When he was barely a yard from them, I let the stake go. It flew and hit him square in the back, missing his heart but still severely diminishing his strength. He screamed out in pain and turned around fixing his gaze on Rose, who he had thought threw the stake at him. I could see the surprise and anger in those dark red eyes of his and I knew he was pissed but I wasn't afraid. All I cared about right now was Lissa and Eden who I had to protect, no matter what happened.

But then when he looked at me, I saw his look of surprise. I guess no one told him that the guardians had found me. In less than a second, my thoughts were interrupted when he was suddenly right in front of me and pinning me against the wall. "I guess I wasn't clear when I said that if you didn't listen to me, you'd die a lot quicker." He said as he reached forward, fangs out. I quickly realized that he was about to bite into my throat and while part of me wanted to let him I lifted a crutch and slammed it into his knee, probably dislocating it.

While he was distracted, I ran over to see if Lissa and Eden were okay while Rose dealt with him, as our plan was. But what I didn't anticipate was Percy beating Rose in the first few minutes. I didn't notice he had knocked her out and threw her to the ground. Before I knew what was happening, I cried out in surprise as I felt myself being pulled into Percy's arms. I tried to kick and flail but he quickly pinned my arms behind my back and put my crutches on the floor, kicking them away. I was officially stuck, with no good way out.

Eden's POV

I cried out in fear as I saw him wrap Evangelista in his arms. He spoke with such coldness and pure evil in his voice, it made me shiver. "You know, there is nothing you children can do to stop me. Now, either I can kill Evangelista and the rest of you right now, or Lissa can just let me drink her without a fight, and I will take Evangelista back home with me where she will live with until I either awaken or kill her." He said addressing Lissa, both options being equally bad. Looking at Evangelista's face, I could see the panic in her usually laughing or smirking face as she tried desperately to break free. But his grip was too tight.

When she saw Lissa consider the choices she shook her head. "Lissa, no! I can handle him. Nothing will happen. Eden! Get her out of here. Find the other guardians." She yelled as he put a hand on her mouth, muffling her other words. Hopefully it was nothing important because she seemed really insistent. She kept repeating the words as I got up and started to take Lissa's arm, pulling her toward the door. But before I got out, she pulled away. I was scared to death myself but Lissa probably knew there was only one way to assure Evangelsiata's safety as she wanted.

"I know what I have to do." She said as she walked back into the room. "No!" I tried to jerk her away from him and looked at Evangelista for help but she seemed to be on the verge of passing out from over exertion. "I give up. Kill me if you want, just please let her go." Lissa said steadily as Percy laughed, dropping Evangelista to the floor and making his way over to her, a big smile on his horrific face.
