I woke up in the infirmary. My leg was wrapped up in a cast and there were bandages on most of my cuts and bruises. There was also a bandage wrapped around my neck, probably where Percy had bitten me many times. I didn't want to admit it but I kinda wanted another bite now... but I shook the thought. I had to get better. Or else there's no future for me as a guardian. I could still feel the burning pain where Percy had shot me in the calf. How many times did I have to get shot in a damn year. This was 2. "Evangelista...?" I turned to see Eden and Lissa standing there. While Lissa looked scared and concerned, Eden looked the same but 10 times worse. She looked so scared, with bags under her eyes and skin too pale even for a Moroi. I didn't want to worry her so I hid my pain and smiled at her. "Hi Eden, Lissa." I said as Lissa waved, but Eden read me too well.

"Evangelista, what did he do to you? You have to tell me." Lissa, probably seeing the look on my face said something about giving us time alone. "I'm fine Edie, it's over." I said, but somehow, I knew it wasn't over yet, and somehow, she did too. "Don't you dare leave me like that! Tell me what he did to you! I have to know. What you went through for me." And that's when it hit me. Why I didn't purposely die. Why I didn't give in to Percy. Because I needed her and she needed me. Who knows what could have happened if I died. Maybe she'd do something she'd regret later on and I didn't want to be the cause of it. I looked away from her. I really didn't want to tell her what I had been through. I didn't want to upset her, but I knew she wouldn't let this go.

"He... hit me and... drank from me. He used me. He also broke my leg when he found out Lissa was visititing my dreams." I said, rushing the first part. I could see pure horror on her face. "He knows..." She began. "Lissa's got nothing to worry about. Rhydian already notified all of Lissa's guardians." I cut her off. "What I mostly care about is that you don't get hurt somehow. You were never a part of this and even if you were, I would never allow it. You're safe." I said as she smiled. "And of now, I'll take care of you. I'm sure you'll find some way to return the favor." She said as she took my hand in hers and patted it, the warmth making me happy as I fell asleep again.
