Evangelista's POV

I shook my head, kicking the last of her out of my head. But as she left, I felt the strongest feeling of fear and wanting to run away. I was almost sure that Percy had found them and the worst part? They were cornered off in a secluded corner. I didn't know how he knew where Lissa was hidden away but I knew that I would be a good amount of help if I had the element of surprise. Picking up the pace, I crutch-walked to the entrance of the tunnels, making sure no one was following me before I ducked in.

Percy's POV

"Come on, cousin. Get out of there." I said in a mocking tone, almost laughing at the evident fear. "Why don't you make this easier for me? All I want is to kill you, then I can get back home to finally be alone with my beautiful Evangelista." I had to speak loudly or she wouldn't hear me because she had somehow managed to hide in a locked room with Rose and Eden.

It was funny that how Rose, a seasoned guardian, had thought a little door could protect her and her charges. At this point I was just having a little fun playing with my food. Feeling her fear, I paced in front of the door a little longer. Every time I heard the room go quiet, I shot out another insult or taunt, wanting her to feel nothing but cold, hard fear before I actually killed her.

After a while, I felt myself getting bored of this hide and seek game she was playing. Not to mention the suspicious crashes I had heard earlier. Honestly, I didn't know why they were making it so hard. I really just wanted to go home and play with Evangelista some more. Deciding to just finish this now, I stepped back and delivered a swift kick to the door which broke it down. I smiled as Lissa cried out in fear from where she sat bundled up in the back corner of the room covering her head, Eden cowering beside her.

I started to walk in, ready to finish what I had started but stopped when I felt something burning behind my back. I turned around to see Rose standing at one side of the door with anger on her face and Evangelista leaning on crutches on the other side of the door.
