Once they thought they were far enough from 106, both of the doctors stopped running to catch their breath, but continued to walk. Itkin looked over his shoulder to check their surroundings and became worried and dumbfounded at the fact that 106 didn't follow them. He looked at the man he dragged with him and noticed he was shivering.

"Alto? Are you cold?" Clef looked up at his friend with a wiry smile. He was interrupted of answering because of his friend. "Or are you scared?" Clef slapped his friend on the arm. Who laughed in return, rubbing his shoulder. "I hate you." Clef took out the Navigator and looked around the hallway.

They wandered for a little while before coming to a crossroads in the hallway. Four doors, one correct. "In order to get out we need to find the Tesla Gate. Listen to the doors before you open them please Elijah." Clef looked at his friend, who already had his key card out. He shoved it back in his coat pocket and leaned closer to the door he would have opened.

Distant screaming came from the other side, as well as multiple gunshots. Not that one. "Door number one should be kept CLOSED." Itkin looked back at Clef who nodded in agreement.

Itkin moved to the door that was across from the hallway they previously came from. Clef moved to the one on the left. Both doctors listened intently at the doors. Clef could hear the shouting orders coming from multiple MTF units on the other side, followed by twisted and corrupted laughing. He decided to stay well away from that door. He turned to Itkin and whispered.

"D-Door number three. CLOSED please, 106 on the other side." Itkin nodded to his friend. He listened and was relieved to hear the soft hum of one of the many Tesla Gates coming from the other side of the door. Smiling, he took out his key card and motioned for Clef to follow him as the door slid open. They were met with the monotoned hum of the Tesla Gate.

They came as close as they could without getting zapped as the Tesla went off, a flash of high voltage blue light with a 180 second cooldown. They walked through the recharging Gate and opened the next door. They made it halfway down the hall when Clef stopped his friend and turned him around. There was a distant stone grinding noise from behind them and both knew what it was.

"Clef, keep your eyes on it. I'll open the door, okay?" Clef nodded slightly and stared at the statue in front of him. Itkin reached into his pocket and quickly swiped the card. Clef alarmed his friend to turn around and look at the statue to he could blink.

Clef took the card from Itkin and ran to the door. It slid open with a whine from the mechanics and Clef told Itkin to back up so he could close the door. "I'm coming, stare at it for a second." Clef felt himself shiver as he looked at the spray-painted face of the statue, but refused to blink. Once Itkin had walked through the door he took the key card from Clef and turned to face the statue as the door slid shut.

Once it closed, both doctors let out sighs of relief. The sound of stone on steel fading away. They looked at each other with smiles on their faces. "That was an experience." Itkin looked back at the door for a minute. Clef only hummed in agreement.

"You think we'll see it again?" Clef now stood beside his friend. Itkin looked at him and smiled slightly. "I wouldn't say its impossible, but its not too likely either." The continued down the hallway, hopeful for a way that would lead them to one of the escape gates. They were as hopeful as any other surviving agent or researcher that could still be in the building.

Though they felt like they stood a change now that they were able to work together. They would be grateful if they would run into another scientist somewhere, but for now they were set on getting the hell out of this place.

Another door, another hall, another journey, another ounce of their sanity supposedly lost forever to the void that stalks these grayscale halls.

Though things were going in there favor at the moment, neither of them could shake the feeling of being followed, or watched. Like something was just out of sight, enjoying the anxiety it was giving both of the scientists.

This is all so normal to them though, but it gets to your head when all you see is the gray of the tiled floors and the red of the alarm lights. The alarm wasn't actually going off anymore, so there was an uneasy quiet among the halls. Was. The sound of the intercom disturbance made them both jump. What was said was reassuring, but terrifying as well.

"Mobile Task Force unit Elipson-11, designated Nine-Tailed Fox, has entered the facility. All remaining survivors are advised to stay in the Evacuation Shelter - or any other safe area. We will start escorting personnel out when the escaped SCPs have been recontained."

Alright, this was done not only for those who wanted to read it, it is done kinda for that but also because I have been yelled at by someone very special to me to update this story faster. So HOPEFULLY a double chapter update will be something to make him smile at least for a few seconds.

Luv u bb. <3
