Just Kiss Already!

I can hear you all screaming so just calm down. Someone will get close but it may not be who you think. But don't worry there will be another chapter for the pairing that was missed in this one. This is gonna be a long chapter as well. Love you all and away you go!

Even if they were closer to the gates, they were also closer to lots of danger. Currently, everyone was catching their breath. The rumble from the ground caused the already broken ceiling to collapse, which meant giant concrete slabs falling out of the air.

The only problem they had was Star, who was trapped in a concrete cage. It took the group of four a good few minutes to give her enough space to squeeze out of the roofing. The poor girl was able to hear the falling pieces, but couldn't see where it was going, being the blind pup that she is.

No one could rest for too long, however. The sound of large paws pounding the floor with their weight were growing near to the group. "I can only imagine what that is." Elijah turned to the rest of them, urging them to continue moving forward. Their steps, though quicker, were drowned out by the rumble from the reptilian beast behind them.

Low, growling mumbles could be heard bouncing down the halls every which way. The one thing every human, humanoid and object hoped to avoid. The Doctor stopped to stare at an open door that, thankfully, led to a stairwell. Alto caught on to what he was staring at and yelled to the rest of them. "Guys! Come back quick, into the stairwell!"

The door was pulled shut just in time for 682 to bound past the door and after a little while, cause the whole of the west house of the Facility to shake beneath their feet. They sat for a moment in amazement. They really dodged a bullet. The Eye-Pods were making jittering chips and whirring was all that could be heard in the stairwell.

They all sat down, finally able to relax a little after everything that had happened. And only in the span of one Breach. They all heard a group of NTF run past their door, all ready to make a beeline up to the next floor if one chose to open it. When none did, they all let out sighs of relief. However, the PA systems cut through the silence like a blade.

"We're detonating the Alpha Warheads in T minus 50 seconds. All personnel are advised to board the nearest helicopter or enter the nearest blast shelter immediately."

Alto looked terrified. He's usually safely hidden in a blast shelter whenever this happens. 035 put a bony hand on his shoulder, he could see the fear shaking his body. 049 turned to Elijah and spoke with a hurried urgent tone. "Those have 50 seconds to detonate. Is there a way to get 079 to terminate detonation? If 682 broke the gate down then we could make a run for it."

Elijah looked from the Doctor to Alto, then to 035. He could see Star whimpering in his friends lap and Josie trying her best to get 049 to lift his hand up so she could hide under it. The Eye-Pods were chirping wildly, they knew something was wrong as well. With a nod, Elijah stood up and walked to the blue exit door of the stairs.

Alto jumped up to grab his arm, Star yipped in surprise and ran behind 035. "Where are you going?! Everything in here knows where to go now!" Elijah gently pulled his arm from Altos grasp. He turned the doorknob and looked back to them. "When the termination announcement comes on, you all run. I'll find a way out. Promise." With that, he was out the door before any of them could respond.
