"Doc you walk to fast - wait up!" The Mask ran as best he could with the legs that were falling apart as he tried to catch up to the doctor in front of him. "You don't walk fast enough." The doctor turned to his companion as he finally caught up, the host out of breath. He chuckled and continued at a slower pace, allowing the Mask to walk by his side and catch the breath that he needed. "You may have just chosen too chubby of a host." The Mask looked offended at the words he heard. He looked up at the doctor only to get a shrug in return. "Gee, thanks for the self-esteem boost doc."

The Mask huffed and crossed 'his' arms over 'his' chest. The cheeks of his mask became dusted with a slight red as he listened to the deep chuckle of the doctor next to him. "You may have just never needed to run. Lazy bastard" The Masks face was comical and proud almost, of what the doctor has said about him. "I like to think I do things the easy way doc, thank you very much."

He waved his finger at the other. "Unlike you, you go searching through this place and actually look for people. I prefer to let 'em come. You do it the hard way." The doctor took and unexpected turn left, too quietly for the Mask to hear him turn, and it was only when he was almost too far away to find him again did the Mask realize the doc took another turn. He went running down the correct hallway yelling at the man he foolishly loved. "STOP TRYING TO LEAVE ME BEHIND DAMMIT."

The hallways were quiet, if you counted out the sound of footsteps and the random light drip of corrosive liquid on concrete floors. Incomprehensible small talk could be heard at they two made their way down the maze of hallways. A rag was tossed carelessly to the floor, the white fabric now a dark crimson. "Geez doc, didn't expect you to be so messy." The Mask laughed to himself while the doctor stayed silent. "And you are the cleanest in this facility?"

049 turned around and stared hard at the mask, earning a nervous chuckle. "Hey I know what I am don't shun me." His face became an expression of comical pride as they continued walking. "I know how to keep myself clean...ish. That should be all you need to know." The doctor only shook his head at the man beside him.

"Elijah come back, the hallway is this way!" Clef laughed lightly as the other doctor whipped his head around. "Oh." His voice was monotonous, tired. They had been walking for god knows how long now. The ended up on a sort of catwalk to another containment room. SCP-205 had a raised platform for researchers to walk and observe while testing and monthly cycles were taking course.

There was another door at the opposite end of the chamber to get to another section of the facility that both doctor's needed to reach to continue their escape. Since it was the middle of the last month for the cycle, both doctor's wanted to be quick and swift in getting through the room.

"Elijah I don't know about this. I mean, with it so close to the end of the cycle- Are you sure you want to do this?" Clef couldn't take his eyes off the first containment door of 205. He has seen it multiple times and heard about the end of the cycle enough to scare him a little. No sound came from the other side, though a soft light could be seen shining through the bottom of the door.

"We don't have any other option, unless you want to go back?" Elijah looked at the man next to him, who still never looked away from the door. He sighed and looked at the door himself. "Whenever your ready, Alto." The man in question nodded, and both walked to the door.

The door made a sound similar to a whining dog. Elijah did his best impersonation of it, making the other laugh. They stopped for a few seconds to watch the screen at the front of the room. The flood lamps were still working and both doctors watched as the woman on the screen was seemingly developing the photos of the horned figures she took for the "first" time. Clef grabbed the others sleeve in a way that told him they needed to move, fast.

They reached the other door and opened it quickly, both wanting to get out of the room as fast as possible. As the door closed behind them, they each let out a sigh of relief. They made it about half way down the hall when they heard other voices coming from another corner. "Help! Please! Jesus Christ! I can't walk! I need help!"

Both the doctor's stopped in their tracks and looked down an adjacent hallway to their left. "Elijah! That sounds like Dr. 🖾🖾🖾! He sounds like he's in bad shape too. Hurry!" Clef turned on his heals and ran to the voice that was apparently at the end of the hallway.

Elijah grabbed his arm and forcefully yanked him back to his side. Clef would have argued if it weren't for the fact that Elijah had put his hand over Alto's mouth to silence him. "Alto, that isn't Dr.🖾🖾🖾. Stay quiet and hide. Trust me on this." Elijah let go of his friend only to hide behind a fallen piece of ceiling, motioning for Alto to follow him.

Just as Alto ducked behind the ginormous slab of concrete, the sound of claws lightly clicking down the hallway could be heard. The voice was heard again, it sounded violent and scared. "W-Who the hell is there?" Elijah turned to his friend and put a finger up to his lips. "Show yourself!"

The sound of footsteps soon became the sound of clawed paws and a rumbling growl came from the other side of the fallen ceiling. There was sometimes moments when sound was gone, the only thing audible was the slight snap of dangerous jaws, like a bird clicking its beak.

Both doctor's wondered how something as lethal as 939 could become so approachable in the darkness of ignorance and fear. Maybe because the voice was one that belonged to someone whom you trusted, you believed, maybe even loved once. It sounded like it was real, but in the painful reality, it was a monster of a man. It was a thief.
