Chapter 36

Raanta's POV

The next thing I know we're about to drop the puck. Then Teuvo, Johnny, Kaner, Sharpy, Bollig and Shaw walk in. "Hey guys what's up?" Teuvo asks. "We're about to play a game. Wanna play?" Corey asks. "Sure! Sounds like fun!" Shaw said. "Teuvo, Kaner and Sharp you're on my team!" Kristen says. "That means Tazer, Shawzy, and Bollig are on my team," I say "So what are the teams?" Andrew asks. "It's Saad,Tazer, Bollig, you and me vs Corey, Kristen, Kaner, Sharpy and Teuvo," I say.

After the guys get their gear on we take a few minutes to warm up before starting the game. Kristen goes up to the announcers booth and starts blasting some music.

After warming up we put a puck at center ice and start the game. Kristen and Brandon take the face off. Kristen wins and passes to Teuvo who takes it to the blue line. He passes to Kristen who takes a shot but I block it. I gotta say though, for a girl she has a pretty hard shot. Actually for any one she has a pretty hard shot.

The game goes on and on. In the final minute it's tied at 2. Goals by both Brandon's for my team and by Teuvo and Kaner on the other team.

There's a minute left on the game. Shaw takes a shot on Corey but it's blocked. Kaner gets the rebound and passes to Teuvo. He skates to center ice and then passes to Kristen. The next thing I know she's alone on a break away. She's coming in super fast, he eyes watching the puck. I can tell she's concentrating hard on scoring. She looks up for a quick second to see where she is then looks back down at the puck. She crosses the blue line coming closer and closer. Finally she shoots top shelf, glove side. I try to catch it but I flys past and hits the back of the net. The red light goes off and the buzzer sounds. They won.

Kristen's POV

The score is tied at 2. I get the puck from Teuvo. I get out on the breakaway concentrating hard. I get close to Raanta and shoot top shelf glove side. I watch the puck soar past Raanta and hit the back of the net. The light goes off and the buzzer sounds. WE WON!! "YEAH!" I scream throwing my stick up in the air. "Wow Kristen I'm really impressed!" Corey says. "With what?" I ask. "Your hockey skills." "Yeah you're amazing! Brandon adds. I smile. "Thanks." "Where did you learn to play like that?" Corey questions. "Well when I was little I was at all of Kris's games and eventually he taught me how to play and I played in college," I explain. "Also you were the best on every team you played on may I have you!" Kris adds walking in. I laugh. "It's pretty impressive," someone says from the bench. We all turn and look to see Coach Q standing there. "Thanks," I smile shyly.

There's an awkward silence. "So do you want to play for the Hawks starting next season?" Q asks breaking the silence. "I... I.... would love to!" I say practically speechless. "But wait can I even play since I'm a girl?" I ask. "Well we'll have to talk to the NHL 1st but a few other teams are looking at one or two prospects that are girls,"he explains. "Do it Kristen!" Tuevo says. I think for a minute. "Well if I'm allowed to I would love to play!" I say. "Great!"Q says turning on his heels and leaving.

"I'm hungry," Andrew says as we leave the arena. "Same," I say. "We should go get pizza or something," Corey suggests. "Sounds good to me!" Kris says. "Gino's?" I ask. "Sure." So we all get in our cars and go to Gino's East.

A/N hey guys sorry it's been so long. I've been so busy with school and color guard and homework! it's insane. I was gonna post sooner but I hit update on my phone and when I checked it it didn't save it and I lost over half of this chapter😡😡 well Ben Smith or 28 days until the hawks are back!!!!! Oh and the Winter Classic will be at the Nationals Stadium. sorry idk the name cuz I'm more in to hockey and football so yeah lol. hopefully I'll be able to update again soon(: love you all
