Chapter 11

Kris's POV

Kristen is rushed back into the hospital on a gurney. I'm running next to her. We burst through the hospital doors. She's rushed back into a room. I try to follow but I'm pushed back. "I'm sorry but only hospital staff is allowed back there," a nurse tells me. "You don't understand! She's my sister!" I yell. "Sir I'm sorry but only hospital staff is allowed back there! now please, go have a seat in the waiting room!" she says sternly. I turn on my heals and head back into the waiting room, tears filling my eyes. I can't live without my sister. We've been through so much together. We've helped each other through everything and now I might not ever see her again.

Brandon's POV

I was sitting at home watching TV when my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID. it was Steeger. I answered it thinking he wanted to hang out or had a question or something. "hello?" I say into my iPhone. "Brandon? Come the the hospital quick!" I hear Kris say worriedly on the other line. "What? Why? What's wrong?" I ask. "It's Kristen. She wasn't feeling well and she took a nap and got a lot worse. She's practically lifeless and i flint know what's wrong or what's happening." he explains. My mouth goes dry. "Ok I'll be there as soon as I can," I say slipping on some Nikes and grabbing a Hawks sweatshirt and hat. I climb in my car and speed to the hospital.

At the hospital I run in and get my visitors pass. I find Kris in the waiting room. I go over to him and sit next to him. He tells me everything that happened.

Over the next hour basically the whole team shows up. We all sit in silence waiting to here the outcome of Kristen.

Kris POV

All of the guys come to see Kristen, but we aren't allowed to see her yet. We sit in the waiting room nervously waiting for the doctor. Finally after what seems like years, the doctor comes out. "I'm looking for the family of Kristen Versteeg," he says. I stand up, along with the rest of the guys. "I'm her brother," I say. The doctor slowly walks up to me. Me heart starts to race. I pray that she's ok.
