Chapter 26

Jared's POV

I paced my bedroom thinking. What am I going to say to Kristen. I really need to apologize for what I did to her, but she won't answer her phone.

I collapsed on my bed. Maybe I'll think of something later. I just gotta get some sleep.

Kris's POV

After my date with Kaitlin I start thinking about who keeps calling my sister. Then it hit me. I think I know who it is.

I speed home and park my car in the garage. I run into the house and kick my shoes off in the mud room. I burst through the door into the kitchen. "Kristen!!" I call out. "Yeah?" she yells back. "Come here! I have to talk to you," I yell back.

"What's up?" she asks as she walks into the kitchen. She's followed by Brandon, Corey, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Andrew Shaw. "Hey what are you guys doing here?" I ask confused. "Trying to figure out who keeps calling your sister," Shawzie says. "Well about that... I think I know who it is," I say. "Seriously?" Tazer asks seriously. I nod. "Well who do you think it is?" Kane asks. "I think it's Jared," I say. "I wouldn't be surprised if it is," Corey says. "Why is he such a butt?" Kristen asks. I laugh. "Not funny Kris!" she says giving me a death stare. "Sorry," I say. "So what makes you think it's Jared?" Brandon asks. "Well I saw Jared looking at Kristen at practice and he looked really sorry and looked like he missed her a lot," I say. "Yeah when he came out of the locker room he accidentally bumped into me and he looked like he was crying and he apologized. He said 'I'm sorry,' turned and then left," Kristen says. "Huh. I'll go try talking to him or something," Brandon says grabbing his keys off the counter. Out of the corner of my eye I see Kristen taking a deep breath. "I'll go with you,' she says.
