Problems With Love

Chapter 4

Kristen's POV

When we got to the UC, Kris and I went out separate ways. He went to the locker room, and I went to go meet my friends Ellie, Chelsea, and Cassie by the entrance. I couldn't wait to tell them the news. "Hey I have AMAZING news!!!" I practically scream when I find them. They laugh. "Well it must be amazing since you seem so happy," Cassie laughs. "It is!!" I exclaim.

As we head to our eats, I hear stories of their boyfriends. They're all dating Hawks players. Ellie is with Corey Crawford, Chelsea is with Shawzy, and Cassie was with Pirri, but he got traded, so now she's with Raanta. As soon as we sit down in our seats near the penalty box, Chelsea asks, "So what's the news?" I smile. "So in the car on the way here Brandon texted me.  He asked me out to lunch after practice!!!!" I almost yell. "WHAT???!!! THAT'S AWESOME!!: Cassie yells. I smile. "I know!" Ellie gives me a concerning look. "How does Kris feel about this?" she asks. I feel my heart drop. "Ummm......." "He doesn't know yet does he?" I shake my head no. "Brandon said he would tell him though." I say. Then the boys come out on the ice. We watched warm ups and practice and talked about the next game against Vancouver. When practice ended, we headed down to the locker room and waited outside as usual. My heart started to race wondering what Kris would say.

Brandon's POV

I decided to wait until after practice to tell Kris. Practice went by as normal. We practiced power plays a lot.

When practice was over, we went back into the locker room. I quickly showered and changed back into my normal clothes.  Then it was time to ask Kris if I could take his sister out. I walked over to him, my heart racing. I took a deep breath. "Okay Brandon... You can do this<" I tell myself. "Hey Kris, can I ask you something?" I say. "Yeah sure," he responds. I take another deep breath. "Is it okay if I take Kristen out to lunch?" I manage to ask.   "Yeah that's fine. Can you just bring her home after though?" he asks. I nod. "Sure, alright see ya later," I say.

He said yes!! I run over to Shawzy to tell him the news. "Dude Kris said I could take Kristen out!" I exclaim. "Nice dude! Congrats!" he says giving me a high five. W meet up with Corey and Raanta and head out of the locker room to meet the girl. Once Kristen saw me, her face lit up. "Well.....what'd he say?" she asks. I smile. "He said yes," I say. Her face lit up, and we left for lunch.
