Problems With Love

Chapter 24

Brandon's POV

This Jared guy is actually a pretty good hockey player. He's got some skill. Coach said he'll be playing in the game tomorrow against San Jose.

It was kinda awkward back in the locker room though. Everyone knew who he was and what he did to Kristen and everyone loved her like a sister. She's so nice and sweet to everyone. To some of the guys she was like the sister they never had. It's hard to find people that hate he. She likes almost everyone. She's really caring and is always willing to help anyone who needs it, especially guys on the team. Whether it was with an injury or girlfriend/wife problems, or family problems or even if they're sad and need someone to talk to she's there for them.

Everyone gave Jared weird glares. No one really talked to him. Honestly no one really talked in the locker room that day. It was really awkward.

When I walk out of the locker room after practice Kristen is already there waiting for us as usual. "Hey baby," I say walking over to her. "Hey," she smiles. There was an awkward silence for a moment. "So what do you think about Jared?" Kristen asks breaking the silence. "I don't really know. He didn't say much but I have to admit he's a pretty good hockey player," I say. She groans. "I know but he's a horrible person," she says. "I know he is. Oh by the way your brother is going out to lunch with a girl after practice so if you want we can hang out or something," I tell her. Kristen smiles. "Sure! That sounds great!" "Great! So do you wanna get some lunch and then go back to my place or something?" I ask. "Sure!"Kristen responds.

Kris's POV

After practice I have a date with a girl named Kaitlin. She's an ice girl but I know for a fact that she's not a puck bunny. I saw her a while ago before she was an ice girl. She was at a game and I was hurt so I couldn't play and let me tell you she was really into the game. It was kind of funny actually. Then after the game I went up and introduced myself. We talked for a while but that was the last time I saw her. Then she became an ice girl. I asked her out on a date and now we're going out to lunch. To be honest I'm a little nervous. When I walked out of the locker room I was met by Kaitlin. "Hey ya ready?" I ask. "Of course!" she responds. "Is there any place that you want to go to eat?" I ask. She thinks for a minute. "Can we go to an Italian restaurant?" she asks. I smile. "Of course. That sounds really good right now."

We drive to a little Italian restaurant which had a name I couldn't pronounce. We sit down and order some pasta and talk for a while. It was actually really enjoyable.

After driving her home I walk her up to her doorstep. "Can we maybe do this again sometime?" I ask shyly. She smiles. "Of course. I'd really like that."

For once I finally think I found a girl that I really like.

A/N Hey guys!:) I really hope you like the story so far. Sorry for the long wait to update. I've been kinda busy since I'm taking summer school for gym so I don't have to take it during the school year. but DANG I'm a freshman now!!!! I'm scared!!!
