Evan stirred, the morning sun blinding his still unopened eyes. He turned over, and realised he was laying on something. His confused, his asleep mind was trying to figure out what was going on.

"Aw morning sleepy head." Connor voice, soft yet sharp, but soothing all the same. Evan snuggled back down. This was a nice dream. Suddenly he felt someone stroking his cheek. "Wow this is a really realistic dream" he thought to himself. Until he opened his eyes. And saw Connor smiling right at him. He looked like an angel, or thought that may have been all the right light streaming in from the window but still, an angel all the same.

"What are you doing here?" Evan mumbled as he went to pull himself off the couch, but more so off Connor as he practically slept on top of the guy the entire night, yet failed to do so as Connor wrapped his leg around them both. He smirked. "That's not fair." Evan complained groggily, but didn't fight it as he lay his head on Connor's chest. He lay there and closed his eyes, listening to the steady beat of Connor's heart. He smiled. "You stayed." Evan said, smiling, unable to believe it himself. Connor laughed.

"No Evan, this is just your imagination. You are in a dream. Connor Murphy left long agoooooo..." Connor went to get up but Evan wouldn't have it. He wrapped his arms around Connor's torso and held him there.

"Don't say that!" Connor laughed and settled back down, wrapping his leg back over the two of them. Evan sighed. "You're so tall." Connor burst out laughing.

"And you're so adorable." Connor sighed back, playing with Evan's hair. Evan looked up.

"I think i missed you while i was sleeping." Connor just smiled and shook his head.

"You, Evan Hansen, are perfect." Evan smiled goofily, Connor could tell he was still half asleep. Connor planted a kiss on Evan's lips, then another, then another. Nothing much, just a couple of playful pecks but Evan went red as he saw his mother smiling at the from the kitchen. Connor looked up.

"Morning Heidi." She smiled.

"Morning," she sighed, "you too are just too adorable. Okay Evan honey, I'm off to work now, there is leftover pizza in the fridge for lunch. Okay bye." Evan waved as his mum went out the door. He buried his head under the blankets.

"I can't believe my mum just saw us kissing." Connor just laughed.

"Well she's gone now isn't she?" Evan raised his eyebrow and Connor wrapped all his limbs around Evan's small frame. Evan sighed.

"Now that's not fair Connor and you know it!" Connor just smirked as he nibbled at Evan's earlobe.

"Yeah but it's fun isn't it?" Evan moaned which made Connor laugh.

"Stop it!" Evan pleaded. Connor sighed and released him.

...

Evan ended up making Connor watch Be More Chill, and the two of them were singing "Two Player Game" the rest of the morning.

"Guys like us are cooool in college." They sang together.

"But we are not in college." Evan finger-gunned Connor who laughed.

"All the same. High school is whack," he put his arm around Evan's shoulder, "but we have each other's back it's me and you." Evan joined in at the top of his lungs.

"We make it a TWO PLAYER GAME!" They burst out laughing, falling back on Evan's bed. Just at that moment they heard Zoe's car pull up in the driveway. Evan tried to hide the fact he was disappointed. Connor put a hand to Evan's cheek.

"Hey I'll see you tomorrow okay?" Evan smiled as Connor leant in for quick kiss. Evan walked Connor out and opened the door.

"Connor wait!" Evan walked over to Connor who was halfway down the driveway. He just stood there, he didn't really know why he'd called out. Then he wrapped his arms around Connor's neck and kissed him. Evan had been trying to pay close attention of late to Connor's technique, how to move his lips and where to put his hands and how much pressure to apply and that sort of thing. The whole thing made him a bit anxious, he wanted to impress Connor. He started slowly, gently moving his lips across Connor's, but as Connor's hands went down to Evan's waist the kiss deepened. Connor had to gasp for air as Evan's mouth locked onto his. The kiss was slow but forceful, Evan trying to mouth steady as he ran his fingers into Connor hair. They could both hear Zoe cheering from her car. Evan felt a hand leave his waist and when they broke apart, Evan opened his eyes to find Connor giving his sister the middle finger. He laughed. Connor stood there dazed for a couple of seconds.

"That was... wow, ah yeah I'll see you tomorrow." Evan stood out the front as Connor hopped in the car. He heard Zoe turn to Connor.

"You're so hard right now aren't you?" Connor just looked straight ahead. Evan didn't know what she meant.

"Shut and up drive Zoe." He turned and waved to Evan as they took off down the road. Evan frowned and went inside. He closed the door behind him.

"What did Zoe mean when she that that Connor was-" then he realised. Evan felt his face burning up as he put a hand to his mouth, trying to recover from shock and embarrassment of what he just did.

...

Evan had just finished re-heating of couple of slices of leftover pizza when his phone rang. It was his mum.

"Hey mum."

"Hi honey, is Connor still there?"

"Ah no, he left about an hour or so ago, what are you up to?"

"Oh I'm just on a lunch break and thought I'd check on you..." Evan stood in the kitchen awkwardly trying to think of something to talk about. "You know honey I'm really proud of you." Evan shrugged, even thought there was no one around to see it.

"Why?" He heard his mum sigh.

"For telling me, about you and Connor getting together? Honey i understand that must have been really hard for you to do, coming out like that to me but i really appreciate it. And i just want you to know that i really love you, and that I'm so happy for you both." Evan felt his eyes burning up with tears.

"Thanks mum."

"Well i got to get back to work but i just wanted to give you a call and tell you that i love you, I'll see you after class tonight okay?" Evan smiled.

"Okay mum, have a good day."

"You too honey, love you. Bye." She hung up. Evan hated hanging up phone calls, he was always worried he'd hang up before the other person finished talking and then it would be awkward because he'd have to call them back and be like "oh sorry didn't mean to cut you off just thought you were finished talking sorry what were you saying about your dog?". So his mum always hung up for him, which always made him feel better. Evan went and sat in his room, he took out his laptop and textbooks to see if there was any study he could do, when a couple of sheets of paper fell out of his notebook. He picked them up and smiled. It was the drabble he wrote a couple of weeks back, behind the school before he and Connor had started dating. Suddenly he had an idea, he picked up and pen, smoothed the paper out and began to write.
